So I have free $2,000 to burn and don't know where to burn it.

The MM sure could use:

I would like a better stereo setup
I already have Eibach springs that I haven't had installed yet
The computer chip tuner thing has been calling my name since I got the car
The 4.10 gears seem to be the next best thing to sex so I hear
Air intake would be cool

Then theres also:

My back yard is nothing but weed and dirt and some sod sure would be nice
My front yard could use a nice makeover as well with shrubs, mulch, and sod
I've always wanted to make a creek/pond in my yard
I've come close to buying the wood flooring to redo the kitchen several times
I came soooo close to getting a tablet pc yesterday but they were out of stock

The list goes on and on....

Send the money to me. I can put it to use.
:D J/K.

If I were you, I'd get the tuner, 4.10s and the CAI. That should only cost about $1000. The rest you can spend on the "other" stuff.

It's always a good idea to invet in your real estate. So, that's the smart move... not the FUN move, but the smart one.

Or you can go down to your local financial institutio and buy a 6 month CD and take the time to decide how to spend it.

I would do the 6month CD thing. That sounds like a great idea! Because if you spend the money now you may find someting down the road that you wish you would've spent it on. Now after 6months goes by not only can you get what you REALLY want, but you'll have more money to do so :P

I think if you spread the joy around, get the tuner for the MM, the use whats left for something around the house.

I would say that is good solid advice. :)

I like Rich's ideas. I agree that although it may not be the fun move, it is definitely the smart one. There's nothin better you can do with your money than to invest it, save giving it to me of course.

I just left the stereo shop here and they have this in stock:

They can of course put it in immediately. Its navigation, CD, FM, and fits right in the stock hole. Looks awsome.

I left without buying it and now I'm at home pondering wheather to call them back and get it put in today.

P.S. Its about $1,700 installed w/tax.

I see you went the fun route. :D Are they 100% sure it'll fit without cutting anything? If it's a true Double Din deck, then it won't fit without modifying the dash panel. The hole in the dash is NOT full Double din size. I put this is a month ago:

They said they 'do it all the time' putting double din stuff in din and a half ford dashes. He said he would have to trim a small bit to get it to fit but its trimming behind the bezel where you wouldn't see it once its in.

I saw the Kenwood like what you have but its pricey and I don't care about watching movies. I want the navigation.

I'm still sitting here on the couch thinking. Its cool, awsome, and eye catching but $1700 would do a lot of other things :)

If I get it, I'll wish I had got something else. If I get something else I'll wish i got the screen. Everyway I'll have regrets...

I think I'll sit here a few more minutes LOL

All i can say is that modding is a as addictive as crack. If I had 2K I could finish my car and be done with it ( who am i kidding) I would be satisfied with it. That 2k would go toward NOS, Brakes, and sway bars and i'd be happy./ But remember , once you start, theres no turning back. :rasta:

I think I've come off my high and I'm not going to get the screen.

I have a landscaper guy coming to give me a quote on cleaned up my land and then sodding/maintaining it and I have a guess his quote may be around a grand and thats a grand well spent. But who knows, he may quote lower or higher.

With whats left, I think the chip is a definate consideration more so for the shift points rather than power increases. I'm so sick of the horrible shifting and OD gear that I could cry.

I hardly listen to the radio or listen to it turned down as I still love the flowmaster sound so I don't think a 1,700 stereo head unit is the best route to go right now LOL. The coolness factor would wear off fast I think.

Maybe I'll go take some pics of the yard in a minute and show you just how bad it looks!

Which Tablet were you going to get? I've gone through a few where I work. We have a old Fujitsu, old Acer, last years NEC, last years Toshiba, this years Fujitsu and last years Motion Computing. There is someone here that is thinking about getting the Motion Computing LE1600.

The Toshiba that Best Buy carries for 1,599. Circuit City has a cheap no name Averac or something like that for 1,000 but its probably crap. Nobody here carries tablets in store. I checked Best, City, Staples, Sears, Office Depot, etc...I'm one not to get something unless it's spontanious and fast :o

:beatnik: You know that tuner and the gears really would be a must have for me, and then maybe the under drives. The yard could be aerated and sprayed with some of that green moss/new grass. At least it would look green for a while.
