After seeing this in person at Barrys, and seeing the pics DEFYANT posted while looking for a correct font, I just had to have this done.

One of the most subtle "bling" mods I've seen. The dealership did this, and did a great job.

Pics attached.

I like the effect on Defyant's Silver MM where it is much more prominent. Had to look really hard to figure out what you were talking about on the DTR. Quite subtle.

Is there any concern over lost of stop light/tail light visibility with this mod. :dunno: Seems that it would reduce the visibility distance considerably since those painted over areas do relect and increase the tail light view. Just my :twocents:

Looks nice man. I'm sure the tail lights still work fine. ;)

Kurt, they're fantastic! I'll get a good look at Charlie's at the CAM doo, Saturday, and since my Silver Birch's bumper needs a little touch up from the garage adventure(s) I can get 'em done at the same time. :D

Your'e right, it does stand out more on the silver, but in person, the effect of this is killer.

I have no worries about the lights. I mean look at some of the baby tail lights out there as it is. :)

Kirt you are quite welcome. But I pass on your credit to the other guys here who put the night shades (Cruztaker, BigDogJim to name a couple I've seen) on their cars before me. I also had someone on the board kind enough to photoshop the job for me before I did it (Thanks again!!)

I also had the same concern for the taillight visiblity. I modded my taillights to to be fully functional. Here is the link to the mod and write up: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=16277&highlight=tail+light

BTW, I like how they came out!! I was wondering how it would look on a DTR MM!!

BTW,

The only problem I have with my mod is the back up lights are not as bright (duh). Could also be the tinted windows (duh duh). I want brighter back up lights.

Nice job Kirt! Looks great!

You'll have to roll out to Quaker Steak one of these sundays for their car cruise. It's the one off I-90 in Sheffield. Might go this week...I'll be in touch.
