MM motor/trans. on Ebay (or was)

Does anyone know what the deal is with the MM motor and trans that keeps showing up on ebay.
They always start the bidding at $500.00.
I've seen it at least 4 time in the past month and a half.
It seems that it's posted for just a couple of days or in the last case just one day and then is yanked off for some reason. And like I said, it's happened several times.
Does anybody here know whats going on.:confused:

If it's the engine/tranny I'm thinking of, pictured as strapped to a pallet, it's from a salvage MM from a bone yard. The bone yard scooped up a few MMs at an insurance auction, one was an interior strip/burn job (looked like an insurance give-a-way), another was rear end damaged, and the third was front end frame damaged. As I recall it, they have a firm price in mind, but the bids don't get close their ideal number, so, they close the auction early. Considering what our options are today, the bone yard is asking too much, IMHO, I mean, if that's the auction I have in mind...

That auction has been posted at least 7 or 8 times and is pulled from ebay the same day. They have never had a picture of the engine and trans. Very strange.

I emailed to see where the engine was located. This is what I got back:

Is is located in NY city. Here are the pictures.

This is a 04 Mercury Marauder motor complete with dohc trans
(handles more power). It is practically brand new. The car
had an interior fire. The motor trans and all accessories were
completely unharmed. The engine comes complete with the full
wiring harness. It all has both left and right exhaust portions
complete with catalytic converters, all of the sensors, power
steering pump, alternator, intake manifold, throttle body, mass
air flow, fuel injectors, intake routing, air filter box, all
pulleys and belt, fuel injectors, PCM(computer), and water pump.

It was just disconnected and taken out(complete form top to bottom
with all the wiring and accessories). It is guaranteed to run like new.
This would be an ideal setup for a modular engine swap into a fox body,
old mustang, or a ford truck!!

This motor does come with the transmission, starter, majority of the
a/c accessories(compressor, condensor, etc). It is a 4.6 Liter 32
Valve DOHC(Dual Over Head Cam) which produces 302 Horsepower and
317 ft-lb of torque. It also has a 10:1 compression ratio.


How about $3000 for it with shipping included ? Let me know about the
