Got back to the house at about 2:45 this morning after my 3000 mile jaunt. We had a great time and would've made the CAM meet but decided we have 1000 miles to drive and i was :censor: tired. I really want to thank the Motor City crew and Jerry and Lidio for their hospitality once agian they are some great people.

Had the ride tuned while I was up there of course Lidio slapped on a 10.5 lb pulley and twisted the magic knob it the back and hooked me up with 394 rwhp and 397 lbs. of torque which helped out on the hot muggy Milan day with 13.2 at 105 mph, gotta love it. And I still got between 19.5 and 21 MPG at 80-85 mph. The nice officer in Lawtey, FL who pulled me over liked it.

Now Lawtey is the size of a postage stamp, basic 1 redlight town where the speed drops from 55 to 45 with a quickness, well he got me at 56 :( . He gave me the same intro as I give people when I pull them over. So me being a nice guy I tell him I too am a police officer and have a loaded pistol between the seat and the console from there it went from let me see the license to let me see the badge and get out of here :D. But other than that and the 2 hrs it took to get from Fairfax to Fredricksburg which is like around 20 miles apart the trip was without incident.

Welcome home "King".... and good work handling "Barney' there in Lawty. Isn't there another little berg right on that same route or close by that has the same bad "speed trap" rep as they do??? Had similar experience a few years back in another small central Florida village named "Fruitland Park" as I recall. Actually, once the cop got past the usual opening remarks he turned out to be a pretty nice guy.

That's quite a trek. That other one horse speed trap is probably Waldo. I go that route often and it's annoying as all :censor: the way the speed limit changes faster than the weather overhead! Glad your experience through there was a good one!
