Anyone looking for a rare car? Check out www.MikeOgnibeneFord.com (http://www.MikeOgnibeneFord.com) and click on new cars.

2005 Ford GT. Red.
$259,000 (chump change).
5.4 Liter DOHC Supercharged Engine (did not know Ford had a 5.4 DOHC).
550 HP
500 Ft-lbs Torque

Where are these cars made? Think we can stuff that engine in a Marauder?

The GT is an awesome vehicle, although $259K is almost double the sticker price and well above the going rate.

The GT is made in Michigan, at the Ford Wixom plant I believe. The motor is a monster and probably underrated at 550hp. The crate motors I have seen for sale cost more than an entire Marauder ($30K plus). It might fit, but it sure would expensive.

That reminds me, Sheehy Ford in Springfield VA has one in their showroom. It's got a "SOLD" sticker on it but it's still on display behind the velvet ropes. I noticed it when I was running into the parts dept. to pickup a new ford emblem when I got my dad a black honeycomb grille for his '99 CVPI. Stood and ogled at the GT for a bit.

Amazingly I got outta there without being hassled by a sales person. Might have helped that I drove the Marauder and parked it right near the door, so they all saw me get out and noticed my temporary tags. :)

 Twice the price? Y'know what? We ought to start sending 'em inquires and setting up appointments for them to pick us up at the Buffalo airport for our test drives. Also flooding 'em with email requests for quotes, and endless questions about financing and such might be fun.

Yep, same here in Mississippi. Gray-Daniels Ford has a white one
(with blue stripes) behind ropes with the same price tag. It sure
is sweet!

Lots of speculators trying to sell them on ebay. I saw one bid up to 186k and it didn't meet reserve. Team Ford sold one at 225k a few weeks back.

And I believe the Navigator has a 5.4L DOHC 32V engine.

I remember walking into a LM dealer in 1973 and seeing a brand new Pantera GTS for 13,500.

Naw... we here should make a "group buy", then raffle it off for a supercharger kit

:banana2: Midway Ford here in Miami has just about the same one but with the Center stripes which are an additional 5000. the rims are like a 2500 upgrade a center mounted speaker which "looks" like killer sound system (Macintosh?)for another 1000 all for a bargain price of 256,900. On the sticker it labels a 100,000 mark -up for "Lack of availability".

Between the Mustang GT, the Ford GT( for the super $$), and the upcoming Shelby GT 500, I think Ford is gonna have some decent sales numbers.
