What MPG are you'all seeing (while driving SANE and no WOT) ??
If you will, list your Mods (gears etc...) along with your MPGs.

No difference before or after mods for me. It's all in how I drive that week. I say week, but so far it's every 5-6 days.
Best=17.8
Worst=16.2
This is based on a 60/40 split with 60 being interstate.
Thats where I personally can't keep the foot out of it.
Plus, I have only had it a month. Who knows when or IF the novelty will ever wear off!

been as low as 15.5, lots of playing on that tank, got 27.3 during a trip back home around Christmas, that was through southeast PA, infested with cops so I kept it right around 65-70. My average has been 20mpg the last couple weeks, that includes the 40 miles daily on highway to and from work doing 80 mostly, and the occassional play time, although my wife would say that playtime is more likely to be often. The ship is still bone-stock. Just waiting out the 36K before I do too much to it.
I'm usually just under 17mpg, but I drive pretty aggressively and rarely on the highways.
Cruz ... I've had mine since August and drive it everyday. The novelty hasn't worn off yet. :coolman:

Here yopui go
Before Mods:
3431 miles @18.1 avg. MPG
After chip and plugs:
3048 miles @ 18.0 avg MPG
After chip/plugs/4.10 gears:
6382 miles @ 18.0 avg MPG.
80-85% highway/interstate 5-6 days per week 100+ miles r/t.
The other 15-20% around town and other trips.
Mods are listyed in sig. Sometimes it's a little hard to keep the foot out of it cause I like the smile I get......
Just checked it. 12 mpg city driving. We can't keep our foot off the floor. My wife is worse than I am. Too many Mustangs to tame everyday. I don't have any highway figures. Probably wouldn't be too good anyway. Chip allows top speed.

I have been getting 18-20 MPG. Most of traveling is on the highway to and from work. This is the best milage I have ever had in a car I owned :)
The car is factory stock.

Well, there ya have it, from at least one MM owner with mods. I am impressed, adding all those high performance tweaks, and having all that fun, and still holding 18.0 MPG. Guess that answers a lot of questions, eh?
Thanks, Murader, this is very helpful.

Haven't moved off of 13 MPG since I got the car - this has all been LA city driving. Lots of stop and go, short fast hops on freeway, etc. Will be driving to Vegas in a couple weeks, though, so hope to get true highway numbers then...

I just came back from the Keys in Florida. I put 1,676 miles on in 2 days. I traveled at around 70 to 80 most of the time (mostly with traffic :D ) Here are the numbers. Mileage got better as it got colder. I have almost 14,000 miles on the car now. 19.68, 21.78, 21.03, 20.6, 19.7, 21.8, 20.0 and 18.2. These are not in order of the trip.THe brand of gas was what was at the exit I got off at.
I put my CB in on a long trips or when I'm towing. In Georga 2 truckers were arguing over whether I was a plain wrapper or DOT.Another state someone was saying that "the cops here have too much money to spend. Look at those chrome pipes on that cruiser". There were many other comments like this as I went through different states. NOBODY knew what the car was. Congratulations Ford advertising.

Neither have I wanted to know, FordNut, so, I never ran any fuel studies since I bought my Lady last July. However, I knew from my first tank, that the MPG was better that anything I have been driving the last 15 years, much better.
I replied to this thread early in my day, a day that would see my Lady back on the streets in over a week. It's winter here in Chicago, and the snow fall has been light, but snow fall just the same. I pulled her out in 10 degree temps, and tanked up on 93 octane @ 1.99 per gallon.
Today (9 Mar. 03) was our Chicagoland Owner's meet, and I knew I was going to be dumping on my Lady's throttle more than once. I was right. After gassing up, I did the "grandpa" drive to the office, and later again after work to the meet. Once at the "eye-ball," it was no less than 10 standing start roll outs, brake torques, and 0-60 contests. My Lady got a real work out under a half dozen anxious right ankles. After the meet, again a quiet grandpa drive home from an afternoon with a really great bunch of MM owners. We had fun, lots of fun, and left some real nice Marauder foot prints on "jen-you-whine" Route 66 pavement, original 1930s 24" deep rebar kon-krete donchano...No blacktop here!
Just before the garage, I tanked up once more, and pumped 8.75 gallons for the 150 miles traveled today.
Some grandpa driving, and some reallly hard WOT stuff, combined in a "one day at the track" type of afternoon. I'm calculating 17.4 MPG, ya think? And with all my mods too, check my sig, and go figure.
I'm pretty damn pleased with my MPG, but I remember too, that it's 10 degrees outside today, and I expect some MPG changes once the warmer temps arrive in Chicagoland.
Not a bad starting MPG, from a late bloomer, eh?
PS...Thanks to y'all at the eye-ball, I had a great afternoon.

just filled her up near the Chicken getogether; this tank gave me 15.3 mpg for a total rolling average of about 15.5 mpg. i drive almost exclusively city stop and go driving. Noone should have mileage as bad as mine unless you are driving in pure city traffic.
still better than the 12 mpg i was geting in my 5.2 liter jeep, and with the 5,000 miles a year i drive, who cares?

Around the city it's not great but I just can't keep out of it.......searchin' for 'Vettes and ricers but there's just too much traffic......
On the freeway with the cruise set it's phenominal for such a big car with low gears(still 3.55s) but I haven't calculated numbers yet........
what I do look at is how many miles per fillup on the trip odo..if I get 225 to 250 miles on a tank around the city I'm doin' pretty good but I expect at least 350 if it's a long freeway trip on the cruise...........:coolman:

I have had a low of 13 and a high of 21 with combo driving here.
No real highway trips to average in. The occasional 20 mile jaunt on the interstate running about 75 seems to bring my average up. One thing I have noticed is it is thirstier after a nice dinner of rice.:burnout:
Didn't buy her for mileage...but for how she made me feel EVERY mile.
But...She sure is fun though, aint she?
PLUS...The A-T-L has the lowest gas prices in the country $1.48 for 93 Octane, and collecting .345/mile for my trips in her helps....

Guess we're spoiled. Gas prices had been coming back down around here lately. I filled up our mini van Saturday and regular was $1.39 (down 4 cents from the week before.) So I was a little surprised that premium was $1.61.
Haven't seen 91. The stations I frequent have 87 (reg), 89 (mid) and 93 (prem) octanes.

L.A. Driving:
13.73MPG--(third fill-up; first MPG test). 60/40, city/highway driving--from cruising to moderately heavy lead-footing--OD "off" 95% of the time. This included one longer-than-typical freeway drive. Worst is probably going to be about 12MPG in L.A. street traffic. Burning 91-octane premium (91 is all we get in California) at $2.41 per gallon. Stock 300B.

I just recently got the best MPG so far. I just got over 16000 miles on my MM. It's my daily ride, so I most likely drive it bit more conservative than most.
Usually I do 60% highway 40% city (with O/D off).
I had 340 miles on the odometer and filled up 15.2 Gal of premium gas (93 octane).
That's roughly 22.36 mpg. Not to bad for 4200 lbs rocketship !

Scream, that's a typical Ford nuance, I've owned a lot of Fords and they all do that. Typically slow needle from just below F mark to 3/4's, then nosedive to about 3/8's, then it seems forever from 1/4 to 1/8. Lately when the light comes on, it'll only that 16 or so gallons.

Yeah, that's mine too. Took it in twice for adjustments, SM said everything is okay. Oh well, no big deal. Same with the low fuel light, I think I'm on fumes and it takes only 15-16 gallons. I fill up by trip mileage anyway, at 250 miles, it's time.
Been running my own informal MPG study, and I getting 17 MPG in the city and 21 MPG on the highway. Not spectacular numbers by themselves, until you consider my mods and present performance, as well as the way I drive. I am very pleased with my MPG.

Ditto here for a similalrly equipped car. Still beats filling up my Durango R/T which eats $40+ in high test gas everytime I go to the station.

On my first tank of gas (for the car even) I got up to 320 miles and filled it up and I averaged 21+ MPG. I am sure that will change when the engine is broken in and I can finally let loose.
Surprisingly, I find myself driving SLOWER than I did in my Dodge - and not just because I am constantly changing speeds for the engine's sake. I am just more comfortable than I have ever been in a car.
Besides, I don't need to speed on the highway anymore because everyone is constantly slowing down / getting out of my way!!!
Pics hopefully by this weekend. If my car hadn't been thru the sprinkles last night I would have gotten pics next to a brand new police cruiser that was parked outside my home when I arrived. (they SAID they weren't waiting for me - I think they were just planted there waiting for speeders on the road near my house).

I do a lot of road trips around the I-75 and I-95 corridors and I have noticed... with several vehicles... that I get better milage at higher lattitudes.
My only theory involves the fact that most places have higher elevation than Florida and that fuel/air is mixed by the little demons in the computer accordingly.
