View Full Version : Kaneohe MM sighting!
NAVCHAP

Black MM, Honolulu LEO owned. In front of FEDEX Kinkos on Kamehameha Hwy in Kaneohe. Hawaii Plates.
State safety inspection on a cool looking plate attached under the bumper so it doesn't have to stick to the rear bumper.
4PM Local time Hawaii 04 July 2005.
Nice gentleman, with wife and young son, was polite when I told him I was NAVCHAP from MM net and that there are several members on the island.
Smiled when I told him about the Vortech w/10lbs boost, PCI T/C, 4:30s and the 12.3s in the quarter mile.
Don't know if he's ever heard of us, but he has now. Car was immaculately detailed. -kjs-

Hope your enjoying Hawaii while your there. Great places to eat are the Shore Bird (in the Outrigger Reef on Wakiki beach) just down from the Hale Koa, and Jamesons by the Sea in Haleiwa (on the North Shore).
The Shore Bird:

Jamesons:

Best place for drinks is at the Terrace Bar at the Hale Koa, at Sunset.

Thanks jabird! I'm keepin' notes here...
My move to Hono's been delayed! Got the call from my future supervisor last night...the agency's run out of PCS funding for the federal fiscal year. So I ain't gonna get there until October. :( :depress: :bs:
Tell me this ain't a gov't operation.... :shake: At least I'm still gonna get there; my position's been confirmed, they just don't have the money to move me.
On an unrelated note: Anybody know anything about the receiving docks there? Are they reasonably secured? I'm worried about the Hulk...I don't need him to take off on his own without me....

My guess is that you were called by Joel M. who is the team chief out there. Jay

I speak to NAVCHAP every now and then. Great guy and I look forward to meeting up with him when both of our "ships" return to the same port.

I got an e-mail from him last Thursday. He has departed Diego Garcia and heading back to the States. He was scheduled to pick up his MM in San Diego and go from there. His next assignement is up in the Northeastern part of the US.

I also heard from Keith last Thursday, before his journey home. We'll get together next month some time.
:welcome: Home, Keith!
