I have talked with Bakers' and told them we are planning on 12 cars, the show starts at 2 however he would like us to get there earlier if possible. I'm going to get out there at 12 so if I could get a couple of other volunteers to get out there early to help us get organized that would be great! Bakers' is about 3 miles north of I-96 on Mildfod Road on the right hand side of the street. When you come in, follow the sign that says Cruisers and tell them you are with the Motor City Marauder group.
Just a reminder this show is going to be featured in an upcoming issue of Car Craft magazine. The weather is looking to be perfect so it should be a great event to show off our Marauders( now, if we could only organize a mass car wash :D ).
I'll have my canopy along, so don't forget your chairs and coolers if you want. Bakers' always has a barbque grill going with pretty reasonable prices as well as plenty of beverages, including adult beverages for those who like to indulge  . See you all on Sunday!

Like Stlr Fn, got to get the bugs and stuff off. Also, short one vehicle as the youngest took the Sport Trac to work and had it broken into  . Busted the passenger front glass, tore up the dashboard, center console, stole his aftermarket radio, sunglasses, and get this: the owners manual :mad2: . It's at Dorian Ford getting repaired at the tune of $2000. Thank you insurance. So I'll try to make it as soon as I can.

I don't know how flexible the times are, I can't be there until 1:30 and must leave by 4:30. But, if that's acceptable I only live a mile-and-a-half from Bakers and I have a Blue.
Car wash options:
There's a $3.00 wash just a couple miles north of Bakers if you go for the normal low cost, spinning brushes type of wash. Go north past Bakers and continue up Milford road. Turn east at the light where Milford Road tees into GM proving grounds road (McDonnalds on the West side of the street). Car wash is just 1/4 mile east of the light on the south side of the road.
If you want the coin-operated type where you spray it yourself, there's one as you're leaving town going east on S. Commerce road. I don't have an address for it, let me know if you want better directions.

I'll try to be there by 12.
I'm expecting this to be quite a zoo. From what I've heard, it's a big get together when the "national press" isn't there. Should be packed.

Come when you can, 1:30 shouldn't be a problem at all.

I am not ready to commit. However if the mood strikes, what is the address or phone number to plug into the nav unit? I will know Friday afternoon if I am able to get out. I need to see more Marauders. All I ever see is the one in the driveway. Dam'n it looks good.

The show is going to go on as scheduled but it is my understanding that Paul Baker, owner of Bakers' of Milford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday. My condolences will of course go out to the Bakers' and we shall miss Paul who put a little happiness into a lot of peoples lives with a fine restuarant and his weekly car shows.

It was a great turn out and a beautiful day for a car show today. I'd like to thank Hack, Bigslim, Debar, Strl Fn and Kendall, Jobrien, Fast4door, DogZebra and the boys, Tim and Roxanne for coming out.
Turned out to be quite a car show I would guess there were more than 300 cars participating, perhaps more. Some really fantastic rides for classics to present day and many customized rides. While we weren't in particularily a prime presentation area we still had quite of few people looking the Marauders over. I think the most often heard comment we heard during the day is "why did they stop making these?" MOPAR really had a great turnout there with a nice 69 Dodge Daytona and Plymouth Superbird on display. I'll let some of the other members tell you about some of their favorites at the show, but I think one of my favorite pics was the customized Mark VIII convertible, the Mark has always been a favorite of mine but this car was sharp!!!
Great warm up for the Woodward Dream Cruise! See you all in about a month.

Kendyle and myself also had a great time. She's a little wore out but over all OK. It was great seeing some "old" faces(if twice count's as old) and meeting some new ones. Too many to name as my favs but if I had too I guess the black '67 Impala caught my eye amd the 57 Plymouth Fury that Kendyle got to sit in.
On a side note: As me and Daryll were leaving, we were held up as they brought the Hearse carrying Paul's body through the show. Everyone clapped as it rolled by. Was a neat tribute to a man that everyone liked and loved.

Great turnout. Weather was great but warm. Nice to see so many MCM members show up. As DJ stated we were held up from leaving because the hearse containing Paul's body had arrived. It was a fitting tribute to him as there was bagpipe music and everyone clapping. A nice send off to what must have been a great car loving guy. I will post pictures later as I am tired now.
