Hi Ho All;

I just got off the phone with Ann of Mike Keszo's office, Evigna Corp promotional people for Ford and there is good news. Ford's purchase order for jackets has been processed, the jackets made and are on the boat from China. Expected delivery is late August. Jackets have to be processed thrus Customs, Inspection etc, then sent to a packing company for individual distribution.

Ann anticipates that we should have the buggers in our hot little hands by the end of September.

Is that including orders for those that want to purchase them. I'm not the orignal buyer but would like one anyway.

Mike;

Many 04 owners, such as myself, were promised jackets but Ford apparently did not purchase sufficient quantities to meet demand. I've been waiting over eleven months. Well, one delay after another ensued but Ford will honor their pledge. The contractor company for Ford promotions, Beanstalk, was replaced by Evigna and the jackets are finally on the way. Ann said this promotion has cost Ford in excess of $400K. My dealer specifically promised the jacket, I got the promotion card for size, etc and now, hopefully, the jacket will be delivered.

As far as extra jackets or replacements, I don't know but the point of contact is Mike Keszo, tel 248-458-5122/5196. E-mail mike.keszo@evigna.com

I'm sure he can answer your questions.

Good Luck

That is an oxymoron if I ever heard one...

FORD built 11,000 cars, so they needed 11,000 LEATHER JACKETS.

DEMAND has no place in this equation.
The Jacket came with the car, and Mercury made sure that everyone
who bought/leased a Marauder, got a welcome package with a card
for them to order their jacket.

So if someone offered you a FREE Genuine Leather Jacket, you gonna say NO ??

Come'on now...

I purchased my Marauder January 2004.
I had my jacket delivered in early April.

I purchased my new '03 in July 2004. It's a year later exactly. Still no jacket, and no return to my dozen voice mails to that #.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll believe it when I'm wearing it. Until then, it's just another unfulfilled BS FLM promise.

I picked up my 2004 Marauder (DTR) on June 5th, 2004. But I didn't receive my leather jacket until early November of 2004. It took many calls to Beanstalk, but it finally arrived. I have a prestige Marauder catalog package that was mailed to me by Mercury for both the 2003 and the 2004 models. The small leather jacket folder was only included with the 2003 package. There has been a lot said that Mercury didn't originally plan on giving away jackets for the 2004 model year, but had a last minute change of heart. I don't feel any sympathy for FOMOCO related to the $ 400K cost of this jacket program. That is part of the marketing cost of selling the Marauders, as was established by Mercury. If they had planned and purchased 11,000+ jackets, we wouldn't have had this problem.

The leather jacket is a very nice piece indeed. Its the softest leather that I've ever felt. My wife thinks it is lambskin leather. It came in a Marauder suit bag with a hanger, and in a black Marauder shipping box. These should all be very collectible 20-30 years from now if we can just keep the jacket in good condition all those years.

I hope you get your jackets soon.
Jim

Chinese Jackets for your Canadian Built American Muscle with seats assembled and stiched in Mexico, Italian Designed Exhaust (Faurecia), and your Gasoline and Oil from the Middle East, and my (Insert Ethnicity Here) A** in the drivers seat.

I own 2 Marauders, like others here, but I got both in used condition. Hence I am not worthy of a jacket ? Yeah, right... if I get the chance to buy at least ONE, i will ... wait and see...wait and see ...

I have my Jacket from when I bought my car, are you saying we can order more? They have told several of us that once the orders are filled (for new car purchases) they may have some leftovers. They are developing a list for potential surplus sales.

I waited 8 months for a medium. Lots of calls and promises.

I finally decided to try the large, and if it was wrong return it.

Still took them 3 weeks to send the large which was in stock.

Guess what, the large fits perfectly.

I think their size chart may be a bit off.

BTW I was told that order would be placed in April.

Then May....

ITS JULY....

You know what they were waiting on....

Ford to approve the purchase order.

It took them 9 months to approve the purchase order?
