It seems they are on backorder for a while.
Order the BFG KDW2 (new tread design) 255/55/18. They are a bit bigger but will work even better than the OEMs and will fit the stock rims nicely.

Are those the fronts or the rears? I have two new sets of the rears.

They aren't better than the OEMs in the rain...
So be careful with these tires...

In my experience they are. Drove through all sorts of monsoons up to 80 MPH with no problems. Cornering was no problem either.

I found out something new which goes against what I said before.
I had some time to test these out in a parking lot about, say, two weeks ago during a very heavy rain storm. It was a huge empty lot of a movie theater. I took off, turned hard, combinations, etc... and the rears performed very well. I would say better than OEM. BUT, these tires are absolutely hopeless if the pavement is wet and you hit any small amount of oil. I know what you're saying, but the OEMs handled that small spot of oil much better than these new KDW2s. It was the same turn performed countless times with the OEMs and the new tires, and I almost lose control with the new ones.
Theres my .02..

Personal experience or second hand hearsay? I have the KDW2s on all 4 corners AND live in a pretty wet area (Pacific NW). My experience is that they *don't* slip as much as the OEMs did. No the OEMs weren't worn out. I replaced them with < 7K on 'em 'cause I like these better. Bigger, beefier, and a sporty tread pattern. The fact they are stickier came as a bonus. :D
The KDW2s are MUCH superior in the rain.

Guess it would depend on your skill level with the Marauder. Some people are better than others.... And I'm not saying your bad MENINBLK.

The KDW2s are MUCH superior in the rain.I fully agree. Surprised?
Personal experience or second hand hearsay?
Sigh...If only we could get better at knowing the difference.
Waaaay too much second/third/"I know a guy who's cousin once owned an SHO that..." goes on here. If you did it, or, it happend to you, speak up. If not...
I have my last set of BF Goodrich 245/55-18s on now, for only a little longer!
As soon as I can get a loaner set or rear wheels, they are coming off forever and I will be 100% NITTO!
my tires of choice are the 245/45-18 NT555 in the front and the 295/45-18 NT555 in the rear.
The G-Force tires are rated well by most consumer groups, but they wear way too fast on the rear and slip too much for me...
The Nittos stick like crazy and look completely badass. They are a little expensive, but only by thirty or so bucks apiece. Gotta have 'em!
I'll send pictures when they are on and I hope to have them on before Woodward...

I thought I read somewhere that the tire patterns should match... I do not know why... but assuming it is... I have tried to find a combination of 255/55 and 235/50... R18... AND here is the hurdle... ALL WEATHER.. that means including snow... No luck
OK our kdws are not great in snow... but they do just fine with the tasks assigned (w/ help from the posi and the traction control) here in Chicago-land.
I know... The obvious suggestion is "buy snow tires"... but that is not a very appealing option to me due to storage.
There are so many people smarter than me out there... Any suggestion to what I would loose by going to two different tire designs that are from the same company... generally in the same performance class... but with different tread patterns...
Also, Anyone know why some tires are classified SUV tires? Seems tlike there are a lot of 255/55 out there that are suppose to be for SUVs
Thanks in Advance
Best Regards,

There are a lot of SUV tires in 255/55/18, I noticed this too. I guess it's time for some mud boggers :P

Mine went out and the warranty plan has repaired units in the system....sometimes!! Currently a 2+ week backorder.....They will not send me a brand new one...at least that is the way it was explained to me??
My "core" will be sent to a repair center and then put back in the system for another warranty claim. Pretty crummy way to do things since I will not have a radio for 2 weeks or more!! :mad2:
BTW....the dealer said the new ones are over $600.00??

I must have gotten lucky. I had my rears replaced with the same KDWS tires at a local tire shop. They ordered them and had them in the very next day. Wish I could go to KDW2 but I live in a snow state.

Just FYI, they were selling on ebay all the time for under 100 bucks.....I know that Zener Radio and Radio Sales and Service does a lot of repair, have you tried www.radiosandmore.com? They have them for under 600 and the guy, Bill, is awesome.
