Three questions:
1- What would it take to get the extra tubing / elbows to be able to move the intercooler from under the air damn to behind the grill and vice-versa? It doesn't look like many of the parts are different. This would allow some of our "snowbirds" to do seasonal changeovers.
2- What is the pressure drop and intercooler efficiency differences between the two setups?
3- What are the considerations for upgrading the standard 2-core to a 3-core intercooler? It seems like a lot of the Mustang Procharger kits come with a 3-core standard.

WOW! Look at all that piping and bends...no wonder why the standard 'chin' mount intercooler has more HP and a lower temperature.
BTW, I'm curious about the 3 core option also.

Sure Greg cna answer, but if I remember in my conversatiosn with him, the behind the grill application runs an extra pound of boost to help compensate for the additional bends.
3 core vs 2 core, check FIT website thought there was an explenation there. Short of it 3 core makes a difference if your going to build a motor and go for big. From what I've seen/heard the 2core is doign the job quite well on Tim's and Tom's cars down here in Florida summer heat (mid-upper 90's daytime, mid upper 80 nightime).
And the behind the grill application is only 2 core, 3 core no fit.
Thats all from memory so I could be wrong.
