apparently that video link is from a 2003 autoshow :o
blueoval news made it appear as if it was new posting a July 13, 2005 date

anyhow I did more digging and found this which explains it all. . .I think :confused:

The Ford Fusion is one of the new models for 2006:

It takes styling cues from the 427 concept, but it definitely NOT the 427 brought into production.

(interesting note: It will have passive keyless entry, as will the Mercury sister model and the Lincoln Zepher. PKE means the car detects your key fob in your pocket or purse and automatically unlocks the car)

They had that PKE on a 96 Vette we owned. We thought it was the coolest thing. I wonder why they stopped doing it, and now they are bringing it back?

It's a cool looking car as we see it now. Ford will screw it up. Just like they're screwing up the Shelby GT500.:(

Yeh, fine, but how do you lock the *%^$#& thing? :eek:

Throw the key away, then push down the lock buttons, and slam the door, all the while hoping you've thrown the key far enough? :rofl:

Cant understand how Ford can make a really cool, smooth looking show car like the 49 then come out with a show car that has a grille like an industrial countertop with the ugliest headlights Ive ever seen. Now the new Fusion has that ugly grille on a car that looks like a Honda. No thanks.

Had our 4th C6, in the last month in the shop yesterday for our exhaust upgrade and it had it.

And...BTW....I'd trade my Marauder tomorrow for a Black 427 with this under the hood....
