Two weeks certainly wasn't long enough for me!
Disney was more than I imagined. We visited every park, some twice or more and STILL didn't see/do near what they had to offer.
I shot nearly 800 pictures and managed to crash my laptop as a result of attempting to sort 32gb of hi-res pics.
I went for the castle pics, and after 5 straight evenings of torrential rain. I got them.
Here's two. ;)

Not too shabby with the new Tamaron lense and pro-tripod. Shot at ISO 1200.

Back just in time for Detroit! :woohoo:
Welcome back, kids. Son, John and his X, the corporate VP, went there a few years back, and after the 6th call on her cell phone, he snatched it from her hands and threw it in the lake. I've often wondered how many others are at the bottom of that pond? Um, phones, not VP's.;)

Thanks for the replies all...
I had no more than a 12 hour turn around at home and my loser company sent me (driving) to Grand Rapids for the next 3 weeks. Another 610 mile trip every weekend that they do not compensate for. I can honestly say, this is it. I am moving on from this job as soon as I can.
I was pleased that I didn't once think about work, nor the website for the entire trip. It was nice to be in my own little world with Gage and Jess and not have anything to worry aboout aside from where to get the next drink, and where I put the tanning lotion.
I will upload some more pictures into a temp folder in the gallery this weekend. There is no time, nor descent internet access where I am at right now. I have some great pics of the girlies in their Disney costumes, and Gage gettin' 'er done flirting with all the princess'.
It's amazing what goes on when one's property is left alone for two weeks. The grass grew 6" and that was apparently an invitation to the neighborhood ground hogs to move right in. They have dug nearly a dozen holes under my deck and pool. :mad2:
One is hog is gone already, but I will see how many holes were re-dug by his buddies tonight.
Another visitor(s) took my entire front porch as their own, and these bunch didn't fool around. Anything getting within 20 feet of their home was immediately desecrated....
I opened the living room blinds to look out, and they attacked the window with the vengence of a hail storm.
Guess what kind they are? Hint: These will chase you....until they CATCH you!!!

Very nice pics Barry. I bought my wife a Olympus digital camera because she is a shutterbug. Grand total of two, count em, 2 pictures from our 9 day vacation in Myrtle Beach. :mad2: She was afraid it might get damaged. Uhm, thats why I bought the steel version. Next year I'm in charge of the camera.

Man, Barry, that one on the far right is ALL business. Lucky you guys didn't get tangeled up with those guys. It's a sinister looking nest, isn't it? Made me think of the Borg.

At least he can see them. Farrgin ground hornets almost killed me two years ago. I now have to carry a kit with me. Burn em Barry, right down to their feet.

Glad you had a good time. We missed you here. Once you retake your property from the critters, they will be forgotten. :)

Let me say....erradicating this nest was very stressfull. I did so in the evening, only to realize White Face Hornets are not effected by the dark, nor the cool evenings. In fact, I later learned that they are the only bees that will remain active in the winter.
I killed the entire hive, and only battled with one last soldier. He chased me some 200 feet across my yard only to die on my left calf. He was unable to score a hit. I was very lucky....very lucky indeed.
I uploaded some more pics in this album HERE (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=525), and will load more over the weekend.
These two are classic......;)

Sky on fire.
Storms rolled through Bradenton every evening, but this one caught as the sun as it went below the horizon and cast the most eerie orange glow on everything in our park. Had to share this one. ;)
