Here's a 91 Miata up in the Seattle area I noticed this morning for sale. Only 61,000 miles for $4600, but it is an auto. Looks really clean.

I did some research and I think the local dealer is a little off...

Kelley Blue Book value for the Miata is listed as $3650 retail from dealer lots.
Edmunds listed the Miata at $2263

KBB valued the Lancer OZ Rally at $10,705
Edmuds listed at $9109 ($9890 for certified used)

The dealer is on the money with the Lancer but WAY off base on the Miata. Due to popularity/regional adjustment?

If you're single get the Miata. If you can't get girls with the Miata you should join a monastery.

I also hear that miata's are legal to drive on go-kart tracks and golf courses.

Dang dwasson! Setting that bar a little high, aren't we?
:D

Also found several late model Corollas/Camrys around town. Those might be safe bets, too.

A man's Miata has the Monster Motorsports package in it. Keep me posted if you want to know more.

If you really enjoy driving... threading the car through corners, heel-toe downshifting, and... most importantly... the wind in your hair, this is easy. We drove one on our honeymoon from a second rate rental place... it was a high mileage beater that had seen lots of Hawaii's beaches up close and personal... and it was a blast. Not fast, but fast enough. Not fun, real real real fun.

If you need a place for the car seat, get the Mitsu.

Just so you know, The Monster Motorsports package consists of a 5.0 Ford v8 and a T5 trans stuffed into the car.
