Hey,

Anybody feel like Click and Clack?

I'm getting this bad sound from the engine/trani area when I
accelerate fast. It happens everytime it shifts at around 4000 RPM.
It sounds like a fast pitched, metallic crunch.

It does not matter if it shifts 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd and the sound last maybe 1/2 second.

:help:

I'm concerned that it might be something serious. I'll take it into the Dealer soon, but I'm hoping to hear if anybody else noticed this or has any idea what the cause may be.

Haven't done any MOD's.

Any help, ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Haven't heard that sound, but anything high pitched coming from the drive train is NOT a good thing... I'd take it in IMMEDIATELY!

"Crunching..." Crunching isn't good, anywhere on this car. "Click-Clack" could also be a crunching sound I suppose, or, vice-versa, and if it's heard under the torque of WOT, or, hard acceleration, such as hitting passing gear on the highway, that would suggest something in the power train has come loose.

Could be some mounting point in the tranny/driveshaft/rear end is reacting to the heavy torque, maybe the tranny tail housing or front drive shaft knuclke is comming up and tapping the floor. A broken motor or tranny mount would allow the power train to twist up against the floor pan or exhaust pipes under hard WOT. While "rubbin is racing, son" this kind of rubbing isn't good.

Do not test this further, MMM. Get her back to the dealer, or, get her up on a rack somewhere soon. Look for fresh scrapes on the floor pan, or the H pipe. Something is moving under torque, and it may not be serious under normal driving conditions, best to granny the girl back to the dealer ASAP.

Took her in to the Dealer today. Should hear somthing by tomorrow.
They gave me a Sable as a loaner ---- Argh !!!

Driving a beater like that, makes you appreciate our Marauders even more.

Ask to see a '04 Marauder. They had one. Black with Sunroof.
A silver one is coming in supposedly 3 weeks.

This Thread has been truncated for excessive crap. I deleted all posts past this point. I see anymore crap about logo's and who owns rights to what and I'll be dropping accounts. Take if offline and stop wasting my bandwidth.
