I came very close once to getting a set of these diamond plated floor mats for my 350Z but didn't. I think I saw them on Ebay at the time.
Anyway, I keep thinking they would look kinda cool in a MM and was wondering what everyone else thought of them. I haven't found a set yet for our cars (searched for MM, Marquis, & Vic) but I'm sure its out there. Here is a link to see what I'm talking about at one of a few sites selling them for most cars.

They would be great in a truck, but I'm not real sure about a MM.

Neither am I. The 350z has brushed aluminum everywhere so this would sort of blend in with that but the 'dot matrix' trim in the MM isn't quite that.

I like the diamond plate touch to our MMs, it says something about our strength and endurance. Here's a pic of my in-the-trunk stereo box, where genuine diamond plate made a difference visually, and harmonically.

Floor mats? Oh, yes! Got an idea for some stuff under-the-hood too. I'll just use my OEM floor mats as a pattern, and lay them in place. Thanks for the trick idea.

I agree that in the right car they could look pretty good. But I think the Marauder interior is a touch more luxury car than that, if that makes sense.

A little to "industrial" for my MM.

The only place diamond plate MIGHT be acceptable is intergated on the covers of the trunk storage unit, where their strength might warrant it. And only if they are powdercoatd dark grey or black.
Maybe appropriate for an open top Bronco or Jeep.
Only my opinion

I work for a major steel service center. We stock and sell aluminum diamond floor plate and sheet. This is a product called 'treadbrite'. It comes already having a polished type of bright finish right from the mill. What an interesting idea. I wonder if its hard on your shoes?
PS: They could probably supply the floor sheets anodized in different colors to coordinate with your interior, don't you think. Its just so wild.

I know from a cleaning standpoint it would be great to have. I wonder if the weight keeps it in place or if the smooth finish on the bottom leads to it sliding around.
I may just have to search for a set and see how it looks. If its retarded I'm sure I could sell it here or on Ebay. I have even saw (once, dont know where) a set of floor mats that were carpet but had the diamond plate integrated into it in the middle area of the mat.
A darkened 'tinted' plating would look grand i think...subdued just as the headlight, tail lights, etc.
Here is another site with some more pics. Notice the pics they have with the back seat mats:

How slippery are they? If they are too slick it would be difficult to corner fast. I'm not a fan of the look but my main objection would be if they were a safety issue. I think that slick mat can be..

It was freshman year of high school, before Fast & Ghey, and far before 2Gay2Curious, the ricers were the craze among some of my korean friends for obvious reasons. I just flipped though a couple pages, I'm innocent, i swear.

Of all the thumbs down I've heard I would have never thought that Mac would have been the one to be positive about it :)
I myself am not all that positive about it but do want to get a set and see how they look.
Now I have to decide what kind of car to order them for because no body has them for a Panther. Honda Accord, older Thunderbird, what do you think has the closest size to our mats?

Even if you wanted them. They don't have one for the Marauder......
Or do they make em custom?

The only place diamond plate MIGHT be acceptable is intergated on the covers of the trunk storage unit, where their strength might warrant it. This is a great suggestion. I've been through two sets of trunk organizer "lids" because they are more fragile than they appear. I already have some diamond plate going on, may as well add to it with some custom trunk organizer lids, maybe change the way they fold up too. Hey, thanks for the idea!

I think they would look better in the Z car than in the MM. The MM (especially the black) has this understated, conservative look to it. I would be afraid the mats would give it a "cheap" bauble and bangle look! Sort of like having a dog with a bouncing head and eyes that light up when you step on the brake sitting in the rear window!

Perhaps you're right, wouldn't want to overshadow the custom Marauder racing pedals from DynoPro, nor, the the polished Marauder door sills, or even all those cute billet overlays for our PW switches, cig. lighter and all. Nope, keep it all understated and conservative. Besides, at night, the flash bulb like reflection while passing under the street lights may make you pass out, if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. I agree, bling is bling, but even bling has it's limits in tastefulness and one more bauble or bangle can blow the whole program...

That's what I was thinking. A charcoal interior with gunmetal grey plates might be just right!

Could these be powder coated or something to get the effect of 'gun metal'?
