Everyone always talks about a 10" sub in their car. They say its in the trunk, on the parcel shelf area to the left of the spare tire. There, all I have is the factory amp.
Did not all Marauders come with the sub?
I'm installing an Infinity Basslink I bought off a friend and had in my Grand Am, so I'm not too worried, but it's been so hot out I've been putting it off...lol. But now I'm wondering where my factory sub is.
I'll be running all new cables anyway, and probably just tapping into a high input from one of the rear speakers. (Unless the amp has some low outs I can use.)
Well anyway, just wondering whats up, did all Marauders have the sub? Mine does not appear to be altered...

The sub is part of the amp assembly. Four nuts / bolts hold it in. Yes, all MM's came with the sub & amp assembly as standard equipment.

Is it ABOVE the amp then? I just have open space below the amp. I don't see any indication there was an aftermarket sub in the car.

The Sub is there, inside the enclosure,(Box).
It's more like a 6.5 inch Sub, no 10's here.
Do a sound check on your radio, instuctions should be in your owners manual, and it should show you all components,(Speakers) with sound. :pimp:

OK i was under the impression there was a big box that took up space there. I do hear a bit of bass with this system, but will be happy once my basslink is in. :)

See that doo hickey to the left of the Spare Hanging down? Thats the sub. And if you have an aftermarket head unit, it doesnt work anyway.

Breadfan, please let me know how that Basslink sounds in the Marauder, and how your install goes. I have been eyeballing it for a while as a possible easy replacement for the stock one. Something a mechanically challenged dork like me might be able to install myself.

Sure I'll update once I do it. I had it in my Grand Am and it was better than I was expecting. Then again, I paid $100 for it, I think it retails for $300. I was lucky to have a friend who was trying to get rid of it.
Thanks for the pic, that is what I have. I guess I didn't look close enough, I saw the amp...I just thought if it was a 10" sub it was a bigger assembly. But if it's just a 6.5" then that explains it.
Thanks!
