I want to thank DR for being patient with my calls as to why this goddarn TC wasn't fitting right. IN the end, the new TC that PI sent fit so smooth, I just about wet my pants.
I read one thread on how it was a bear to get the TC on. well, let me tell y'all my story. there was a clearance issue with the tranny input shaft and the inside of the TC. possibly a mm. but enough that the new TC wasn't fitting. my bud doing the the install (along with Kooks, tranny cooler) called PI and was informed of a new fabricator that I guess didn't take that clearance into account. it might have been a run of TC's, hopefully just the one I sent back to PI on Monday.
anyway, this TC issue was holding up progress on the Kooks install and my bud's business, so it all panned out and I should be driving this new badboy MM anytime now. thanks.
