I just ordered a projector and screen to begin a home theater overhaul that will sink much money and time from me before I'm through.
I use a 43 inch Sony TV in a huge entertainment center with 5.1 surround, Tivo, etc. but now my vision is to get rid of it all and have a 'clean' living room with nothing visible which would make the room larger and not as cramped. The screen will come down from the ceiling, the projector will be on a shelf on the back wall, and the electronics (amp, tivo, cable box, etc) will be in a nearby closet remote extended so my universal remote will still work everything.
I'm gonna trash my surrounds that are on pedistals and go with a in-wall center speaker (maybe, seems a center mounted up high would be weird sounding) and have the others mounted in to top corners of the room. I also invision two subs, one behind each recliner hidden.
Anyone else here into home theaters or projectors? I was curious if I ordered a piece of junk or not.
