road rash sucks

Yesterday I was riding my bike and the chain broke and I smacked my hip against the road and bruised my pelvis and I have road rash on my shoulder,my elbo,and my hip this sucks really bad I can bearly move my left leg Im pretty much toast for a couple days:(

OUCH! It coulda been worse. You could have went over the handlebars broke your wrist sc***** your face and chipped two front teeth :shake: Wishin' for your speedy recovery...

Remember this when you get the urge for a motorcycle. Multiply the discomfort/pain exponentially and weigh that against the absolute fun/cool factor in riding a motorcycle and make an educated decision on transportation :up:

You must be very strong because I have not broken a chain on any of the many bikes that I have owned. Go figure.

As a long distance Bicycle Rider I know all about preventive maintenance, and if you would have been keeping tabs on your machine this would not have happened. Also when you get into 4 wheel transportation you will have to perform preventive maintenance or you will be walking or in the hospital.
Take goood care of your machine and it will take good care of you.
I don't want to sound like I am coming down on you, but experience has been a proof to me. Hurry up and get well and make sure everytihg on your Bike is in top notch shape.

I once nailed a basketball goal post head on with the front tire. Did a complete flip over the handlebars, landed on my butt, thankfully in the grass. You musta been going pretty fast, like I was. :)
