I know everyone here probably has heard Beach Boys and Jan & Dean songs so heres two you might not know. I live for Cars and Girls -The Dictators (punk song, but totally beach boys influenced, you'll love it) and Buzzbomb -The Dead Kennedys (hardcore punk song about driving wreakless and loving no one, but your car) I know some of us are guilty of downloading songs so theres 2 for you to enjoy! Anyone else have some rare or mostly unknown car song?

I feel certain you will like Hot Rods to Hell series of "various artists" compilations. For example:

Hot Rods to Hell - Volume II

Flamin' Eddie's Dragstrip
Four Bolt Main 2
Last Of The V-8 Interceptors
Little Death Coupe
Hot Wheels
Red Hot Car
Squad Car
Steamroller
The Savage Four
Throttlehead

Then, there are various (current) surf groups, such as The Volcanos ... check out their album Finish Line Fever. Be sure to check the "Surf and Hot Rod" section at Sundazed Records ( http://www.sundazed.com ).

One last one: Mighty, Mighty Barracuda, by the Knickerbockers.

Everyone knows that song .... Beep, Beep !! :D

How about "Cadillac Jack" by Andre Williams, R&B 1968 ... ??? The last verse of the song was "..... getting his last ride in a long, long, black ... Cadillac".

I mentioned this in another thread recently, a song by "Big DaddY" Don Walser called "Down at the Sky-Vue Drive-In" that is about his hotrod 51 Merc with toggle switch cutout pipes. Has a great line in the refrain "Hear that Mercury roar!" Damn great tune, check it out. :beatnik:
