Anyone know where I can get a touch-up paint that will match the color of my center console? Around the cup holders the grey rubbed off and black is starting to show through.
Any Solutions?
Thank for any info

I bought a can of 'Midnight Black Interior' spray paint from Ford that I used to spray my gauge pods....it matched exactly to the dark grey OEM interior.
(I don't know why they call it 'Midnight Black' ??...when our interiors are dark grey..)
Part# M4JZ-19M547-1074 @$7.00/can

BTW....As per the can's directions, you can control the level of gloss/shinyness by how far away you hold the can when you spray.
I did three light coats about 5 minutes apart and got a lower gloss finish by holding the can back farther from the surface that I was spraying.

Do a search to get the correct Ford part number. Your dealer most likely won't have it in stock. I'd check with Ray "The Dealer" his prices are almost always cheaper the your local dealer including shipping!

Okay, so just to muddy your waters, I have a can of M4JZ-19M547-4149-H, Dark Charcoal Interior Paint that is absolutely, positively an exact match for the Charcoal on the console.
I used it to paint my Autometer A-Pillar pod to match.
I suspect Midnight Black is for the black trim pieces.

I think we might ask Ray 'The Dealer' to clear this up because the Autometer A-pillar pod is what I painted and the '-1074H' that I used matched the dark charcoal trim exactly. It is called "Midnight Black Interior" on the can.
I don't know, maybe Ford updated the part numbers?

M4JZ-19M547-4149-H, Dark Charcoal Interior Paint was superceded by PM-19M547-4149H Black. It looks a little darker when wet. You're best off painting the whole thing. It's not a 100% match, but it's the only thing they offer now.

Your statement confuses me oh Bunny one.
Joe. Yes, I hate Ford too. I swear there's some guy sitting there going... "Hmmm... I'm bored, I guess I'll just change some part numbers this afternoon...."

OK, but what is the '-1074H' Paint that I have?
It is a dark Charcoal and matches my interior almost exactly...
P.S. I bought my spray can from Ford about 14 months ago.

Your statement confuses me oh Bunny one. Read my info off the can. RF was told by a Ford Parts Mgr. AND a LM Part Mgr. (March '05 timeframe) the prior number no longer existed and this was the replacement. Confused us too but it worked (A-pillar and Autometer gauge pod.)

P.S. I bought my spray can from Ford about 14 months ago.So that was June '04. We bought it in March '05. The switch happened between those two dates it seems.
