I find this rather amusing :

by 2010 IBM estimates that 90% of the new innovations packed into vehicles will come from software, such as the ability for a car to squeeze itself into a tight parking space. Toyota is already offering such a feature on the Prius in Japan as a $2,200 option. The Intelligent Parking Assist system uses a combination of sensors to detect how close the car is to the curb and neighboring vehicles, a tiny camera on the car's rear, and software to pull off the parking magic.
Just the kind of option one needs on something the size of a Prius.

If you're having issues judging distance in something that looks like it was a prize you found at the bottom of a box of cereal ...

Driving is NOT for you ... perhaps you ought to stick to roller skates - bicycles or public transportation.

I laugh everytime I read that the "Almighty Toyota" has some problems. When they have problems it is buried in small print somewhere in the business section. If it was the "Big Three" it would have been front page news. Believe it or not, Toyota has more quality problems then GM or Ford but you never read about it. Can't feel sorry for anyone that has a problem with their Toyotas.

very true, and it isn't just Toyota either.

Nissan has big problems, and won't do anything at all about them.

Mercedese had big problems, and probably still has, but most Mercedes owners just seem to accept it for some reason, still talking about he 'quality' of their cars (problems and all)

Things I have learned in the computer biz:
Never, never, never be the guy to buy the newest thing first. Especially SOFTWARE!
