you gonna let the BJs tire boys touch your beautiful polished aluminum wheels...? Those boys installed my directional tires on the rims backwards and put in too much air and torqued the nuts too tight on my Crown Vic...I had to have a real tire shop remount and balance my steel wheels and then I personally pressured and torqued them. These were Good years with mount out markings on them.... Better watch that they don't mix front and rear sizes when remounting... good luck.. RAM

The tire situation must be getting a little better (or I got really lucky) - I just got new KDWS front AND rear tires put on my Marauder on Monday. They had to have them shipped from Norfolk, VA but the shop got them in four days. I paid $135 each for the fronts and $166 each for the rears (plus $10 each for mounting, etc).

Availability seems to be improving.
Went to my local America's Tire last Thursday to get a puncture fixed, and ordered a full set of KDWSs.
They told me the rears were available in a warehouse in Texas. Got a call Tuesday that the fronts had
come in, and today they got the rears. Fronts were $144 each, rears were $149 each. $10 a wheel for
mounting/balancing, and Americas Tire has a $50 rebate deal going when you buy a set of 4. Now all's I
need to do is find an alignment shop that'll put Carfixer's specs under my front end...

Ordered tires 30 Aug. and the tires came in last Thursday, but BJ's ran out of stick on weights they went to another store to get em, so I had them installed today $425.36 total for all 4. And they didn't scratch the wheels!
Took the car to Sears for alignment $68.99 used the good specs provided by a good man here at MM.net. I stayed with the car thru the whole alignment and made sure the guy got it as close as possible. The guy worked on it for almost 2 hours.
My setup Was: Camber left -0.6 right -1.2
Caster left 6.1 right 5.8
Toe in left 0.12 right 0.04
My setup now: Camber left -.04 right -.05
Caster left 6.2 right 6.0
Toe in left 0.01 right 0.00
Don't know why camber was different on print out, the machine had -.3 both sides. Should be OK anyway.

What are the drawbacks of mounting rear size tires all around?
Seems to me that wouldn't confuse the traction control, and you could rotate the tires. Rotating works: I've got 62k on my 2003 Ranger Edge original Goodyears with plenty of tread left. I rotate them every oil change (3K).
Thanks, Jim

It does effect the( Marauders with) traction control.
