Greetings all. My name is Pauly. I don't have a MM but I really really want one. And since I won't rest until I have one I figure I will start learning about them now. I am not, however, new to cars. I have re-built a 55 chevy coupe with my old man when I was just old enough to hold a wrench. It took us about 10 years to complete that project. Then I spent 5 years in Japan serving our country in the Navy. When I came back to the states I figured I would get a reliable and cheap car. So I bought a Saturn SL2. But cars were in my blood and it wasn't long before I had that thing running mid 14's all motor. But I hunger for a V8 again and Marauders have always had a special place in my heart. So until I get one I hope I will be welcomed here so I can at least talk shop and learn some good stuff. So, I will start my Noob questions with this: what are the major differences between years of MM's? I noticed most on this board have the 2003 model. Is there any specific reason for this? Thanks in advance for everything!

First, from what I noticed in the few months that I have been a member here is that you will feel much more than simply welcomed. You will feel like a member of a family. I would be totally lost without the help and support that the members of this site have offered me. One reason why more people on this site have a 2003 Marauder is because they made more in that year. I belive that they made 7,000 + Marauders in 2003 and only 3,000+ in 2004. That is right, only 11,000 something in total.

Welcome to the best site on the net,
Ben

I believe that the 2004 has a few less problems than the 2003 and quite a few less made that year. But the 2003 has some options the 04 doesn't. They are all good though:banana2: . If you can find a good deal jump on it.

There were 7839 made in 2003 and 3213 made in 2004. I had a 2003 before I got a 2004 and had no problems with either one. BTW, welcome to our family.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the site. You remind me of myself when I joined this site 2 1/2 years ago. It took me that long to find the right MM for me. I hope that it won't take as long for you, though.

Welcome to the site. You will find, as others have said, that not only is this the best site for Marauders, but I also think this is one of the best forums period on the internet. I have been in the same boat you are for about 2 years now. This site has been more than gratious and patient with my questions, input, and whatever else even though I do not currently own a Marauder (which will be changing in about a week).

Welcome to the MM site. :D :welcome:
The reason IMO for more 2003 Marauders is that they were introduced approximately May 2002 as a 2003 model.
