Here are two sites for anyone interested.

This first one, http://gaswatch.energy.gov/, is to report price gouging on gasoline. They say report it to your local authorities, but the government also wants to know.

This other link, http://www.gasbuddy.com (http://www.gasbuddy.com/), is to locate cheap gas in your area, and to add any cheap places to what they already have listed.

I am passing this along from my "home" site online. Just a cut and paste, so dont give me more credit than is due. :P

Thanks. I'm going to pass along a hint to Administrators asking if theses links could be added to our home page for quick referrence, and reporting. Very handy way to keep up on changes, Bravo!

Thanks Lisa!

Shows that some people are out to gouge when they think they can.
thier is 30-50 cent differential between some stations in this area.
I paid $3.01 at a brand new Shell station.
One half mile further Clark was $3.49
Usually Clark is lower by a nickle or a dime per gallon.
I'm sure this has changed by now, and Shell Prices did not go down.
They were just slower to respond.

I bought gas at my corner Citgo yesterday for 3.33.9. Drove past there late last night, and noticed it shot up to 3.59.9.

This morning on my way to work, 3.59.9 and just a few minutes ago...Drum roll please...

3.09.9!

I'm getting seasick...

NYS Attorney General Elliot Spitzer is launching an investigation into price gouging. This fellow usually gets results.

This morning we talked to a lady who worked at a SHEETZ station near here. They're, by far, pumping more fuel than anyone in the tri-state area, and even with all their volume, during the times when they pump the most fuel, they have never gotten deliveries, from their own fleet, more often than every two days. How then, can they justify three price jumps totaling nearly $.50 a gallon for gas, already in their tanks, in a single day?
Not only that, but all the stations in the area have the same prices, within a penny or two, of each other. Collusion?, Gouging? Call it what you will, they're greedy bastards taking unfair advantage of a bad situation, and I hope the various Attorneys General can get big hunk of their sad asses.:mad2:

I saw something in the news about Gov. Rell Connecticut, may rescind the gas tax to help us poor CT Marauder owners afford to buy gas.

Well so much for worrying about the price of gas. The gas stations in my area are out of gas! The station down the street said they would be out for at least two more days until their next delivery. several others nearby are out also. It can still be had around town, but I smell a panic in the works once people start seeing "out of gas signs".

Highest I've seen for Premium yet is $3.13. That was just a few minutes ago.

Gas has been scarce.

Had a rental I took back today(no gas to be found to fill it back up) .....

Had to pay a $6.11 per gallon slap on the wrist !.

Good thing we only used a 1/4 tank ... co$t me like $14.00 for the gas.

I'm not going to go out of my way looking for gas ... if I am out & about for OTHER reasons & I see some available fine.

I/we have NO "must do" places to be before Tuesday - I have plenty of food/drink & I am conserving the 3/4 of a tank in the MM, as it is the ONLY driveable car here at the moment.
