The headlighs and driving ligts will fill up with water, I have had 2 replaced already !

Anything in there for premature exhaust system rusting? The kind that leaves rust stains on one's driveway? (leaves a nice outline of one's car, useful feature for making sure you park EXACTLY in the same spot each time, but in retrospect I think I should have passed on that option).
I was all tingly over the fact that I had NOT in fact suffered the headlight moisture issue, until it suddenly appeared out of nowhere this summer. Out of warranty, sorry, you're SOL. (the full-tilt extended warranty I drew blood for doesn't cover this, obviously).
Patiently waiting for my turn to enjoy transmission failure too... (honestly, it's the ONLY thing I haven't shared with you guys yet, I kinda feel left out...)

NOPE !
So far, there are the 9 that I have reported. Not more are happening yet to be an actuall Service Bulletin, there must be a given amount (?) of Marauders with the same problems, reporting to the dealers, and getting the dealer to report them to Big Blue !
Tha,Tha,Tha, Thats ALL Folks !!!!

Fortunately, I haven't had any of those problems on my Marauder, with the one acception being the fogged headlamp lenses. but that was remedied by avoiding leaving the garden hose spraying water for an excessive amount of time on the headlight area during washing. As long as i avoid doing that, the lenses don't get fogged up.

I had that happen. Turned out both bulbs had burned out.
I replaced them. Everthing is fine now.

My Steering dont get harder at higher speeds. My Friend has a lincoln LS and there is a drastic difference in steering feel above 65mph on his car then on mine
I have also headed to a gas station in a panic cause the light was on and the gauge was below E!! I get there and it only takes 12 gallons!!
I Have moisture in both my headlights.
I also have my headlights come on and off during Auto-mode while im driving in the early morning 5-6am. They can't adjust to the light and I look like the highway patrol flashing someone down!
Ill have to print out the bulletins and bring them with me to the dealer!
Thanks for the Info

Only one of those problems I had was the fuel gauge coming off of full way to fast. Fixed under warrantee.

This was one of the earliest bulletins on the Marauder. One of the 4 2003 calibrations suffered from this. How this calibration was allowed to escape into the hands of the general public is beyond me, but that's another issue...
Anyway, it would appear that by the time the 4th one got released (CRD1) the problem was fixed. This is what I have in my car.
The 2004 only came with one calibration. MAV-something-or-other. You shouldn't be experiencing this problem on your 2004. This is another issue.

I suspect it is the EGR valve??

I had one headlight replaced for moisture, and the fuel sending unit replaced and I referenced this TSB to them. They installed the new FSU upside down, so I had to go back and have it done again.
At high speeds the steering seems super sensitive, but I just figured that was by design, and in fact mentioned it here at the time. (?) Would they replace the PS unit to fix that?
Thanks,
Norm

Marauderjack :(I think that you've misunderstood post #13 by TTA. There's a TSB for that fix, and as far as I know, you merely have to find out the number of the bulletin, and bring it to your dealer, and they recalibrate your computer settings. BTW, I have a 2003, and apparently it was corrected at the factory with my car, because I've never had that problem. Mine is a "BMDO".

Our '98 CV had scarey sensitive steering for 100K miles and I found that the speed sensor was not even plugged in at the pump.....Give it a look!!
Your steering should be very easy at idle and low speeds...above about 10 MPH it should get a bit firmer!!

Regarding the TSB's. On the 3 MM's in the family,
1 had the headlight problem. New revised design headlamp assembly cures that. The 2004's have the new ones already. It has a rubber cap on the back that looks different than the previous model. It is not unusual to see one of each style on a MM, as they only replace the moistened ones.
The cold stumble is a PCM reflash from Ford. Affects "CRD0" PCM code only as far as I can tell. Had mine done a few weeks after I bought it. It actually seemed to give it better drivablity overall, but I was told it only changed the cold start cycle. They put a decal under the hood that has the date and part number of the reflash. That's how you can tell you got it already on a used MM.

Hmm. Mine is an '03 with the BMD0 code and it does the surging when I first start up. Even with Lidio's reflash the car still does the surging. Should I put the factory tune back in, drive to the dealer, have them do the update, then reflash the computer again?
As for the other TSBs, I haven't had any of them, yet. I'm going to save those codes for future reference.

Accurate fuel gagues seems to be something that Ford has never been able to make. I just assumed that I would have to live with it. I've gotten used to it in the past xx years (don't like to admit I've been driving this many years, sorry).

Mustang guys have complained to Ford (back when they posted on corral.net) about the on/off oil pressure gauge. They requested a real, useful oil pressure gauge. Ford's response was that a real gauge confused most people since oil pressure changes based on temp, rpm, etc. Therefore, people are always bringing in their vehicles to the dealer complaining about fluctuating oil pressure. I think we're all better off with a dummy light instead of the fake gauge which just gives a false sense of security.

I had to have the PCM replaced on my MM. Even with the updated program, it still idles rough at a light. humidity maybe? BTW, I'm still waiting to get my updated fuel guage sender installed.

How many miles are on your MM? Maybe it's the Idle Air Control valve that's sticking. That was causing my car to surge at idle, but with mine, it was only doing that once the engine was warmed up. Mine was also idling too low (at 600 RPM's in gear) so I also gave the throttle RPM screw about a half turn inward and raised the idle to 750 RPM's, and while I was in there, I also removed the intake tube, and cleaned off the throttle body and plates with a rag soaked with throttle body cleaner (which states that it's safe for the coatings on throttle bodies), and after doing those three things, mine doesn't surge anymore. I hope this helps you.

I only have approx. 14500 miles, Billy. I'll take a look at the IAC, though. I have had it stall twice when I had the wheel cranked either way, parking the car. That was embarrassing. Luckily I was the only one in the car.
