Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that family and I are safe. Of course I evacuated with the Marauder. Had some damage to my home but no flood waters. We are very grateful...
Staying at Son's girlfriend in Welsh, LA (near Lake Charles). Hope to be back home in about one month if everything goes well, but will let all know how things work out.. Wife and MM is loving all the attention..

It's wonderful news that you and Lorraine are O K. You have been in my thoughts often. I pray that everything will go well on the future--if there is anything I can do, let me know---I'm not that far away. I'll be coming to McComb, MS in Oct for a high school class reunion--everyone in the class are OK. Keep us posted, Maury

Donald, glad to hear you are OK. My daughter & grandson got out on Sunday am, ahead of the worst of it. In an ironic twist, her twin turbo Volvo S80 was in the shop in Meterie for repairs. She beat it out of town in the rent-a-car.

Her house is on Lapeyrouse street. No word on whether it made it or not. Volvo is probably toast.
