Installed my Metal Matrix DS Sunday. Had the MM up on 4 jackstands (relatively level).
I just knew I was going to have trans fluid all over the place as I tried to get the old out and stuff the new one in.
I didn't have a drop come out of the tailshaft.... and the input shaft seemed bone dry. Is that normal?

Its been a long time since i changed my shaft, but i dont remember any fluids comming out. It was a quick and clean upgrade. No more bad vibes when im going insane fast.

You would have a problem if the trans fluid was leaking from the rear seal, on the transmission.

Thanks both......
I have no experience with automatics at all. With a standard, if you pull the drive shaft the input shaft / yoke on the DS would be wet... and if the angle was wrong you would leak fluid out the tail shaft housing until you got the new DS back in.
I expected much the same on the auto... apparently that isn't the case.
Tks again...

Typically, jacking the front of the vehicle in the air would produce trans. fluid to leak. Sitting level I have had some leak and some not.
I would not worry and consider yourself fortunate to not have a mess to clean up, IMHO.

You're alright.
It's always best to insure seal life by making sure it gets a little assembly lube by smearing some on the tailshaft before installing it then wiping any excess off the outside of the seal after it's installed so it doesn't attract dirt.
