To anyone sitting on the fence:
I can personally attest to the fact that Zack's work is second to none. I CANNOT TELL where he spliced in the new pieces on my badgeless grille.

Ok heres the info all summed up:
First off, get your grills from Ray Sr. aka TheDealer 1-800-216-6411. He will ship them directly to me.
For a solid color grill, I get $120 for labor and shipping
For any color with chrome bars, $275 labor and shipping.
Mailing address is:
Zack McGrath

I cant promise a completion time with grills that need to be painted. I take at least three to the painter at a time.
solid grills are done immediately.
If you want to trade in your old grill, I will knock off $50 sight unseen, you pay to get it to me.

If you're even thinking about this, do it. The quality of Zack's work is simply amazing. I got to see his jeweled grille in person, and I could sit there and drink a six-pack just admiring the craftsmanship!

How much is DTR badgeless shipped to Texas? I'd rather have the god's head badge, but it looks like they'll never be available.

Yep, but there seems to be some uncertainty about what the grill, tooling, paint, and shipping and handling all total up to. It would appear that you have to supply your own grill at God-only-knows-what-price, but I thought that Zack might have a source for the grills that he works on. My body shop told me that the Marauder grill/front end is not interchangeable with the Grand Marquis, which, if true, would preclude going down to the local junk yard to buy one. It would be a helluvalot more fun--and simpler--if someone would just make a high quality god's head for the grill and trunk lid for a reasonable price.

When all is said and done, the cost for the solid-color grills is around $410 per Zack's post in my thread a few weeks ago:
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21137
When I had my first solid black badgeless grill done I ordered two new grills through Ray (TheDealer) and had them dropped shipped to Zack. The chrome one I just bought was already done up so my cost included the grills.
You can also order one new grill through Ray and send Zack your original grill to merge. All kinds of options, you just need to get two grills in Zack's hands for him to work his magic. The majority of the total cost is for the OEM grills themselves. Zack's not making a killing on his labor by any means.
Only the chrome grills require paint. The solid-color grills are merged in such a way that there isn't any touchup required.
Make sense?

It looks nice, but you can buy a lot of adult beverages for that kind of money.

Zack,
The grills look great...
Most folks don't have the expertise to do this quality of work...
then again there are probably a few folks out there who could make their own if they new the basic procedure...
Would you share the process with the folks on the Marauder site?
Thanks, Architect

Ah, grasshopper; you start with 2 OEM grills and SHAZAM. Call Michael Dell and he will have you building computers in no time. If you have a couple of weeks of vacation left Steve can teach you how to build a Marauder. The opportunities are endless. Dennis:rolleyes:
