I have spent 12 hours this past weekend rubbing and waxing I pulled out of the garage and to my suprise all the swirl marks I worked so hard to remove, were still:mad2: there. So I am going to drop 125.00 to have a profesional detail shop to get my paint back.Cause it looks like crap now! Does any one have any other ideas?

One of the problems is the ambient light in your garage is different than sunlight. I've run into this too many times to mention where I've spent hours (wax on, wax off) making it look perfect in garage light only to pull out and see a bunch of areas where it was sub-par.

My workaround (almost done) has been to paint my garage interior with a couple coats of bright white latex and install 4 florescent light fixtures (2 - 8' & 2 - 4', all dual tube) in a rectangular pattern slightly larger than the car. The idea being to have a bright environment with minimal (deep) shadows.

I pull it in and out of the garage atleast five times before dropping it off. It can look MINT in the garage, but pull it outside and your flaws will be starting back at you.

Zaino? Please! And Botox removes all the wrinkles as well...
I really wish folks would quit pushing zaino as the end all. There isn't a professional body man in the industry that swears by a polish to fix bad paint issues.
As a former detailer, I assure you, ZAINO will not correct the problems Mark is having. Zaino is a wax, not a miracle paint finish restorer.

I know your'e having problems Mark...I saw it, and you saw mine as well. We BOTH know Zaino isn't gonna correct it. Nice thought though...

I wish I were home to do a number on that paint. You remember how I high speed rubbed out the Aviator two weeks back? Removed gouges from the clear coat? And how sweet it turned out in minutes? I wish it were that easy...our paint sucks...but I would give it a try if I were there.

If you do go to a pro, don't get your hopes up. They may use a light compound and a high speed only to get the awefull results I did. It takes time, and several attempts with different grits to get it right. And even then, the first piece of material that isn't 100% cotton that rubs that finish...and it all comes back.

Get it fixed, and then use the miracle Z as a protectant. Or just use Meguires like millions of other folks.:coolman:
