Transmision Control Switch

Can someone please tell me where my transmittion control switch is located? I purchased my 300A Marauder on March 13th and my owners guide is dated April 2002. According to page 127 of the owners guide I should have a transmission control switch on the gearshift handle that will deactivate overdrive. The problem is that my gearshift handle does not have this button. I called Mercury and was unable to get an answer so I am hoping that someone here solve my problem.

You should find it "under your thumb"...left/driver's side, right under the disengage button. I'd be shocked if it wasn't there.

Boy is my face red. I found the switch. I was expecting a larger button to be protruding from the gearshift based on the owner’s manual. Thanks for the help
