I have seen some of his movies based on his books. I'm too lazzy to actually read them but that's besides the point.

If you notice, in this list, the second scarriest hotel to visit is The Stanley Hotel. That's the same hotel used in the book the Shinning! You can actually rent a room for you and your family from that hotel! I just thought it was something pretty cool, right?

There's also a few other interesting places worthy of interest on the list. Just found it off MSN. I thought it would be interesting to share.

I like (and still own) the movie Christine. I tried to read the book but it was not thrilling enought to keep going. BTW, There was a guy at the Tower Shop meet at a time that has made a "Christine" clone. The car is somewhat rough, but includes trivia and other interesting stuff from the movie.

Speaking of King, I watched Deloris Claborne (good movie, watched it several times) last night. That lady (can't remember her name) has been in a number of King movies such as Misery, The Stand, and I think another one or two...

I am a Stephen King fan...big time. I'm not really a reader though...but I find myself attracted to his writing style. The books of his that I have read are...
It - Fantastic book, flowed well, very demented!
The Shining - rough read (King was drunk most of the time while he wrote it)
The Stand - WTF? Can't believe an individual can have this much in his head.
Desperation - My favorite book, he wrote it under the name Richard Bachman.
The Regulators - Scary sequel to Desperation, also under Richard Bachman.
The Stanly Hotel is quite beautiful. It's located just outside of the city of Estes Park, Colorado, which just so happened to be our first stop on our honeymoon right after Heather and I got married. Estes Park is absolutely fantastic, the views of the mountains, the rustic style mountain cabins, the quaint downtown village...it's a very nice place. Elk migrate in and around the area because Estes Park borders the entrace to Rocky Mountain National Park. It's nice to actually see people stop along the road and photograph these animals, instead of shoot them to death.
Anyway...anyone that is thinking of visiting Estes Park any time soon, send me a PM. We've got tons of information, and lots of good stories to share. If you're there, stop by and visit The Stanly Hotel...it's gorgeous.
