Reminder for those who dont remember (http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=35&article_id=2792&page_number=1)
Llingenfelter built an awd TT 427 sonoma. rumor has it, it ran in the 10's, but i know they had a lot of transmission problems. well, someone actually bought it and took it to the track. Having never raced before. spun all 4 tires and here was the result. $137k truck.

I never Heard of This Truck, Nor Seen what happened to it, But that SUCKS!!

Can't Believe Someone is Dumb Enough to spend $137k on a S-10 Pick-up!!

I do Know a Guy Here in NY that shelled out almost $100k for the Same Lingenfelter Set-up in a C5 Corvette. Still Dumb But at least its In a Vette!

will dumbasses spend $137 big ones (actually a bunch of small ones) on such a car. $137,000 gets one in a 911 turbo, Merc SL55, and many other great cars that did not begin their life as a $16,000 loser pick up. (no flames to those who own or even like the s10)

What did he expect to happen? He takes it to the track without the neon light kit and the coffee can muffler with spinners. :)

Horsepower doesn't care how big your wallet it... it'll still bite a heavy, stupid, irresponsible foot.

Looks like a classic example of the passenger side whistle tip shutting down, causing the sudden torque to the right. Too bad he didn't mod up to the tips with the expanding spinners. This could have been prevented.

It looks like he went about 137 feet. That's a 1,000 dollars per foot he just spent, and totalled.
