Good news from Southern Florida. I just got off the phone with Tallboy and he reports that he is busy picking up small branches and other similar debris from his yard, but no damage. Carfixer reports the same. No power though. Overall, good news from our brothers in Florida!

Good to hear! Will be nice to breath a sigh of relief once the season is over.

No power here, just using what's charged on my laptop. House/family is OK. The car is also OK, but did get scratched on the lower rear bumper from a flying shingle; but I think it will buff out.
There's lots of damage in my neighborhood. I'm amazed how many roofs failed. With any luck, we'll get power back within a week.

Good luck to you Rick, we pray for the safety and well being of all who have endured these damnedable storms.
I have a friend in Seebring who observed that there were as many blue tarps covering roofs as there were blue hair old ladies. He waited 8 months for his new steel roof, and claims it will withstand damn near anything, at least, as long as he's alive.

Thoughts and prayers definitely going out from our family to all those dealing with this right now (and to all the others that have been dealing with this horrible hurricane season this fall).

so far report I got is my fences are down, but the house has sustained no damage. I have not got a report from the second half of the storm, power was out as of 6am...
I am in NYC on business...stuck here until tomorrow...just as well, a night with no AC after a hurricane, is no picnic.

Glad to see some news concerning our friends to the south. It's good to hear that everyone just had pretty much minor damage so far. Luckily, the cold front followed this one, and it won't be quite as bad without power for a little while. Hopefully, that will be taken care of soon too, and you guys will be back doing what you love to do. . . . modifying these big old lovable cars.
Thanks for the reports. Please let us know if anyone needs anything.

Yes! I got a call from Carfixer this afternoon. All is well for the most part. Only loss was part of the roof on the garage. No damage to any cars. He has a generator so he has some power:up:
Now if we can just get Jerry to come with a superchager for the generator:rofl:
He sends his best!

Just got power back. I lost power at 8AM Monday. Got some wind and rain, but no big deal. Fired up the generator, plugged in the refrigerator [gotta keep the beer cold] and got to work cleaning up the yard. Dinner was ribs and steak on the gas-grill with the neighbors. All-in-all, I was very fortunate.
Bob-thanks for the phone call, and relaying the message that we were OK!

I'm still without power down here, no telling when it will come back. Luckily it's been quite cool, so it's not as bad as it could be. My laptop battery is quickly coming to an end...

I'm glad to hear everything's ok...my mother's in Tampa, a few miles from MacDill AFB. What I DO find interesting is that the reports from you all sound a lot more positive that what Fox News is reporting. They're making it sound like the end of world has hit in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami; maybe not quite the scale of Andrew, but pretty damn close.
Frankly, I trust your eyewitness reports over the press...but it's a little unnerving for those of us who have family there...

I just got my power back on at 9. My building came out ok. some of the others on the east side of the complex did not. My relatives who live north and south of me are still in the dark plus there is a curfew here from 7PM to 7AM.
