www.alphadictionary.com/articles/yankeetest.html (http://www.alphadictionary.com/articles/yankeetest.html)That's scary: We live right on the Mason-Dixon line in the middle of PA, east/west, and it had us peged exactly: 47% (Yankee). Barely in the Yankee category.

I didn't get it about the toilet paper thing, though ....must be an age thing. We used to throw shelled corn. :D

I came in at 65% Dixie. I was raised in Detroit by southern parents and spent a lot of time in TN. OK, I guess it fits.

48% (Yankee). Barely in the Yankee category.

I was born and raised in NJ and moved to MI. I refuse to call carbonated beverages "pop" though.

And no one really says "youse" in NJ and NY. They do often pronounce often as "off ten" instead of "offen".

At least no one calls Al (aluminum) aluminium... the first time I heard a British professor lecture on metals and mentioned aluminium, I thought, did someone sneak in a new element/alloy ??? Until he indicated it was just regular Al.

Wrink,

I am rolling on the floor laughing. Yes sir ree...we say Grace before everything we eat and yes Ma'am, and yes sir are the norm from where we are from. I am a sothern boy to my heart, even though I am not proud of the history the South has.

This test put me at 55% so a rebel I am.

"And we say grace and we say Ma'am
And if you ain't into that we don't give a damn"
