That first one is incarcerated at the women's maximum prison here in Nashville, Tenn. I pass that prison on the interstate everyday and my wife interviewed as a admin assistant for the warden there last month. (She didn't get the job, but it was only a 15-minute drive across the river from our house.)

I'm sure Marty could stay with us when he comes to visit her until her release later this century.

I did some checking through newspaper archives (I'm a former Tennessean reporter) but couldn't find anything on this prisoner's crime. There's simply too few details to narrow the search down to a reasonable level.

In case, anyone's wondering. Here's the link for the Tennessee Women's Prison. It contains a tour and visitation schedules, if you're interested Marty.

The Tennessee Prison for Women is located near downtown Nashville. It's the State's largest women's prison, with an operating capacity of 744. Both women who are sentenced to death in Tennessee are housed at TPW. (One, Christa Pike, was the youngest person in the state on Death Row at 21.)

Other interesting facts:
Each year, roughly 600 women give up their freedom in exchange for a stay at the compound. A vast majority of the inmates at TPW will eventually go back home, with the exception of 7 women who will never leave. The average age of a TPW inmate is 36.

More than 20,000 visitors come through the security checkpoint at TPW each year. That said, many inmates in the Tennessee prison system never receive a visitor during their entire incarceration.
