Saw a blue 03 listed on Autotrader.com for 6,900.00. VIN is 2MEHM75VX3X668025. Wonder if it's wrecked or if the price is a misprint.

It has been wrecked... rear ended.... they are now in the process of fixing it.... and will ask more when done.

I ran an OASIS report on this one a while ago. The Warranty fron Ford is cancelled and probably has a rebuilt or salvage title.

I just called the dealer... he is in the process of rebuilding the car for sale.

Pity... I thought I had a plane ticket to Detroit. If that price had been the deal on a 1/2 way decent blue... I'd have been begging BigSlim or Mike to dash over and look it over for me. That car would have been sitting at a friends house be weeksend waiting for me to fly up and get it.

Ah, but how does the saying go...

The guy I spoke to shot straight with me. I asked if the car was still available and he said yes... but it was in the process of being repaired. That no one had bought it at the asking price. Obviously the $6900 was for a wrecked but repairable car. Now they are in the process of putting a "rear clip" on the car.

I wasn't interested at that point and asked no more questions.

Just because its at a dealer does not mean its has not been in a wreck. I found a red 99 cobra with about 30k miles 6 months back and when I checked it out I saw things that made me think it was in an accident. They ran a carfax for me and confirmed it. :(
