All,

I'm currently performing massive upgrades to mm.net code.

Please bear with me as I work through and test the bits... :)

It'll be a while, probably another hour or two...

..and yes, I know alot of stuff, galleries, timeslips, arcade, chat is all offline.

I have to re-implement alot of the code as I upgraded the core system, which breaks damn near everything.

I am Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo not even close to being done.

I'm dumping the vendor for the photo gallery and have replaced it.

The OLD gallery is still online and will remain online at http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery but will not be referenced anywhere going forward and new uploads won't be allowed.

The new gallery is MUCH better from an integration perspective. I still have to add all the categories and stuff in. Hopefully this will be the last time I switch galleries on y'all.

I've also added a very comprehensive Links Directory. We have to define categories and such, but I think it'll be a great addition to the site.

I'm also putting in a much newer, much fancier, much better, flash based chat system that I'm sure y'all will love.

Stay tuned! I need to go get some sleep. The basics are working. :D

PS - The original "light" theme will be back online tomorrow as well.

Logan, I had a few problems with my previous thread: - I could not get a smiley face to select into the thread (unless I'm doing it wrong). - I was unable to get the tool bar to allow me to select a function (for example bullets for these statements here), I'm inserting these markers manually. - As my orginal signature (in Navy Blue) was too dark with the black background, I was unable to select a new color for my signature using the tool bar. I had to manually change the Navy to Blue in the modify signature block. I am aware of the problems that arise with major upgrade, I use to manage a worldwide government computer system that had aprx 2 million lines of code at 10 plus sites worldwide. You will always incurr some of those pesky bugs. Regards, Jay

Can't login normally...

Get this:

In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist.

Same thing from both of the login screens on the home page, but I can click the link for "today's threads" and get to a different login screen which gets me in. Strange.

And when I look at this thread it goes back to the black screen even though I set my preference for the monochromatic and all other threads look normal.

For Internet Explorer, Select Tools-->Internet Options--> General Tab --> Delete Files. Then on the same screen, Delete Cookies

Then close and restart all your open browser windows and log back into mm.net
Same thing... Only way to get in is when I get to the vBulletin message and login there.

I definitely like some of the new stuff. I know you are still working on it, but I get some pages that come up in the new black/gold format and some in the old format.

Also, will pictures from the old gallery be moved over to the new one when that is functional?

This black/gray/orange theme is nice. Definitely easier on the eyes when I'm checking in on things at 3 in the am

I still have to go to the back door to login. Clearing cookies had no effect on this site, but it did mess with my settings at all the other sites I frequently visit.

I think I figured it out!

Go to WWW.MERCURYMARAUDER.NET (http://www.MERCURYMARAUDER.NET) not www.mercurymarauder.com (http://www.mercurymarauder.com)

I have to allow posts to be auth'd from marauder.com, the site is setup to run as mercurymarauder.net
Thanks Boss, That was the solution. Now why is it running my sentences together instead on seperate lines like I typed them, with my name on a seperate line? It's deleting code that calls for a new line. Ken

First wanted to say thanks for putting the time and effort in to not only maintaining this website, but also upgrading it. It is much appreciated. Also, wanted to say I got my formatting straightened out. Just went in and set it to the black.

I have a quick question about the Gallery. Will the old gallery items be migrated over? Or will we need to start over? And if they will be migrated over, should we hold off uploading new items until that happens or does it matter?

FANTASTIC... I was just remembering when the gallery crashed last time and so many informative how-to threads lost the illustrations. Keep up the good work.

I do hope the garage is coming back, that's the only accurate list of my mods anywhere in the world.

Just wanted throw out another Thank You for the upgrades. I like the new way you can edit your posts. Not sure how different it really is, but it seems much easier than before - visually. I like how it opens the edit window right there in the thread, make your changes and it saves and goes right back to the thread. Very nice.

Not only has the Marauder platform come a long ways aftermarket support wise, but so has this site. There are many sites out there that have been around a long time and just live on status quo and are boring. Thanks for continuing to make this one better!
