With automatic transmissions equipped with a "REVERSE manual" valvebody, is Park & Reverse still in the first two positions up in front, or are they reversed also, and in the back or the last two positions? If anyone knows, then please chime in.

Billy, since the parking pawl is mechanically actuated and is outside of the valve body, I'd have to believe that the "P" position would need to stay where it was.
'course, I've never USED a reverse manual VB before, so my head could be even further up my you-know-what than people think it already is...

Oh, one more question..... so are there standard manual valvebodies as well as reverse manual ones? Or are all manual valvebodies set up in the reverse pattern?

I suppose a reversed pattern (P R N 1 2 3) would be nicer with a ratcheting shifer - pull back and release, three times into drive, then one pull and release to upshift.
However, I don't know anything, this is pure speculation on my part.

depending on the trans you can get them in either configuration....a 4l60 trans is electronic...dont know how much manual valve body stuff youre gonna find for it....might have to go to a 350 or 400 ......

I ran a ATI TH350 in a Camaro sometime ago it was setup w/a manual reverse VB. I could have gone manual w/o the reverse pattern. I also had to change the shiftgate on the B&M shifter.

Thanks for the insight. I think I'm going with a ratchet shifter.
