Attention Emerald City bretheren, has anyone seen or test driven the burgundy 2002 LX sport @ Huling Brothers in Seattle? Can anyone run the vin# for Carfax type history? They are not aware that it is an LX Sport. They have it listed as an LX, so dont spill the beans if you go down there kicking the tires.

Thanks,
GT

PM me with the VIN and I'll run an OASIS report on it at work tomorrow.

Yes, I test drove that Sport 2 months ago. Handled very nice, but I didn't care for the aftermarket 15'' rims it had and cheap chrome exhaust tips.. It is in fact a Sport. They kept starring at my car when I was looking at the Sport. It only had 25,000 miles when I drove it.

I was told they have only had the car for ten days. Was it at the same dealership when you drove it? Are you certain the rims are 15" not 16"? Thanks.

If it is, then 10 days my ***. Even Jon knows I looked at it, and that was a long time ago. The wheels were one of the things that stopped me from wanting it, plus they kept screwing with me on the price.

I even posted about it in the Emerald City Marauder forum, and that was dated on 9/5.

My 2003 CV LX Sport had from the factory 17" wheels. This car looks goofy with the 15's. Someone swapped the wheels either before the trade and at the dealership. My 2003 was a nice car and a step up from the CV LX but needed a lot of handling help and a lot more power to be a keeper. Dennis

Ryan,

Thanks for the input. I dont particulalry care for the wheels either, however I wont let a bolt on item prevent me from buying something, due to it is easy to change. Bad news is I would be forced to buy new tires too, because 15" arent big enouph.

Did they ever give you a price (other than their advertised price)?

Is that the one?

They are the exact same pics I saw back in September. I think I still have the salesman's card when I looked at it.

I might still have the Harmon Auto magazine when I first saw it advertised, too. I'll look for it.

Just went and looked at the pictures on the Huling Brothers website....looks real clean. I was surprised to see it didn't have a tach. Was that available as an option?

Ryans PI

Nope. 2006 is the first year that a CV came from the factory with a tach.

Wagonmaster

Thats what I thought. I noticed they are claiming it DOES have a tach, however. Its apparent by their photo that it does not have a tach.

Not bad, but I prefer the burgundy color over the red. I think I can get the burgundy one in Seattle for $11,500....out the door.

Silver is one of three colors I find acceptable. Way cool, but too much $$$

Cool. Congrats on the new car. You are going to get rid of those wheels, right?

Did you sell the Marauder?

Yeah man, I thought you dropped off the face of MM.net. ;) Good to hear from you Garry. They must really want it gone...as it has been on the lot for a couple months.
