I was just wondering if anyone here has any experience using a trans brake on their car at the dragstrip. Do you think that using them puts a lot more strain on your U-joints, driveshaft, and rear end? And if there's anyone here who has used one, did you find that you broke more drivetrain parts using it than you had before you used it? And if the answer to these questions is "yes", then do you think that reving the engine to 3,000 or 4,000 RPM's before the launch in a stick car, and then dumping the clutch all at once (especially with slicks) would be placing just as much strain or even more on the drivetrain than using a transbrake does on cars with automatics?
