Kicking around a couple of aftermarket hoods, I kind of like this one.

Tough to see, all you gave us was a side profile really. Is it functional?

I think this is the same one, different angle.

Good looking Texas ride:) Anyone in Houston know who owns it?

Dave you are killing me. Ditto. What he said ^ there.
Sorry guys, I got to get back to my present project at hand, replacing a window motor on my '91 Gran Marquis. Hood scoops on a white with blue stripe Mustang do not hold me back from being able to open my left front driver's door window. Later, eh?

Functional or not, I think it looks really great; in fact the whole package looks terrific. Dave, this has been nearly a year long project and, for me, at least, the anticipation and planing is the best part of the whole deal. Except, of course the instant you stick the key in the ignition switch and start it up, for the first time; closely followed by that first drive taking it home.
Good for you, and thanks for sharing. :high5:

Mac: I actually meant that Dave was killing me because I am JEALOUS!
I think that car looks sweet.
Dave: If I don't get the '07, I will be building up something like this car. In the most recent issue of MM&FF, they have a write about about the Cervini's car. A bit much for my taste, but it did get me thinking about a project like your car. Rock on!

Dave...since you asked for opinions:
I think the hood is too bulbous...it has too much of a "bulge" to it...I think a flatter hood would be more in keeping with the "retro" look...the scoop is OK, though.

Dave, here are a few hood choices. The blue one is my favorite.

That blue hood is pimp.

Personally, I don't like hood scoops especially if they're not functional. They look cluttered and almost rice. But, that's me.

I just wish they would put sequential tail lights and louvoured head lights in the car and call it a Cougar...:D

I personally like it Dave. Aggressive but not overkill.

You know, thats exactly what I thought. A little bit more agressive than the flat sheet metal factory hood, but not gaudy. I like it with the stripes, adds something.
