Ever since the major reworking of the site, I've been unable to log on using the same short cut I've always used. When I click on my shortcut I get a message ""Unable to open page". Then, the only way I can open the home page is to click on the following link within the error message:

<LI id=list2>Open the www.mercurymarauder.net (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/) home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
I've also tried resaving the shortcut and cleaning out cookies and temp files. Has anyone else had this problem? :(

Please copy and paste the URL for your shortcut here in a post so Logan can see it. It may no longer exist as a valid URL. You can always save the home page as a shortcut. Both below work for me.

The homepage still works for me. But, I have to log in everytime I visit the site from work and home now. I have not changed any of my security settings.

After 20 minutes, you're not logged in anymore if you don't set it to remember.

My links at home and at work still work fine. And my IE Home Page at home is set to this site. I have always used the www.MercuryMarauder.net URL. Also, no problems staying logged in at either location so far.

Just my input...:o

I had the same problem. Figured out that the "favorite" bookmark was sending me to mm.com (which looks like the same) and that I couldn't log in on that page. So, I re-entered mm.net and logged in on that way and save a new "favorite".

I've tried both of the above links as well as copying and pasting all forms of the URL I can find and the only way I can log on without getting the "Can't find page" error is to actually click on the URL on the actual error page link. Any other way I try to open the home page and the page opens for about 2 seconds and then the "Can't find page" screen pops up. Here's the messge I get:

<TABLE cellSpacing=5 cellPadding=3 width=400><TBODY><TR><TD id=tableProps vAlign=top align=left>res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdoclc.dl l/pagerror.gif</TD><TD id=tableProps2 vAlign=center align=left width=360>The page cannot be found

Same here. :help:

Wonder why this doesn’t this happen to everyone. My brother doesn’t have this problem.
We are both using XP, but our computers aren’t the same brand. I am afflicted with an HP Pavilion,
maybe that has anything to do with it. :hmmm:

I can live with the extra step, but it is kinda strange that everyone isn’t having the same problem. :dunno:

Clean out your cookies, and make new shortcuts once you log in? This worked for me.

The only issue I haven't resolved yet, is the display of the posting member's name in a post. It appears to be the same font I'm typing with now, lower case and underlined. It works, linking me with their profile, but looks rather simple next to such lavish avatars. Any ideas?

Make sure you select "remember my log-in" (or whatever it says) when you log in. After 20 minutes, you're not logged in anymore if you don't set it to remember.

I do that every time I log in from both work and home. I still have to log in everytime I come back. Its not a big issue - just a bit annoying. I'll have to try clearing out the cookies.
