Holy *****. That was a close call. Nice control of handling the 'Rauder with a flat tire. What speed were you going?
Glad to see that you and your car are OK.
Take care,
Peter

Wes, Great job keeping your baby out of the armalite. Excellent videos and fun to watch. I wouldn't have bet 25 cents that you could save that. That was a very small nibble compared to the total lunch it looks like it should have been. thanks Dennis:bows:

Peter I was only going about 60mph when I realized it was flat.
Eric I have the Kooks standard issue system with stock tailpipes.
The backstory is, that was the first lap of the day, it was 33 degrees, & I was on slicks. I babied it for 5 corners and then it spun hard on the 2-3 shift, totally caught me out.

Wes, what caused the flat? Have you been seeing any issues with the slicks related to the big weight you're loading them up with?
Glad to see you kept it out of the Armco!! :) An impact with that stuff can certainly ruin your day.
cheers

The slicks split in the cold weather because they were old, it looked like someone slashed them vertically on the shoulder area.

First off, NICE SAVE!!
My Question is, At what point in the spin did the Car Stall???
Even more Credit to you if you pulled off that Save without power steering!

Watching the video shows that :
1) it is Cool to mount a camera on the side of your car for the race
2) you are very good at driving your MM now matter what the conditions are.
3) the spare stuff wasn't in the trunk when this happened.
Keep up the good work.

Nice save! Must have been a fun ride! Kept it right down the middle though...that was cool! I figured the rear end broke loose during the upshift, it looked like you were on a slight curve. What would make the car stall like that? The g's in the spin not allowing fuel to flow or something? Plus you were at idle, or close to it, right? I was in an accident in my Jeep where I was spun, and the car stalled. Just curious.

John: I thought my Marauder was about to be wrecked too!:o
Blackened300A , not really sure, I went to go, and it was dead. I guess the back tires went from 60mph to stopped quicker than normal for the first 180degrees, so the trans didn't have time to disengage?
I was really lucky there wasn't an idiot ricer behind me, there was lots there that day.
Roy: nothing in the trunk for track days, not allowed.
Matt: I thought it might be the reset switch in the trunk, thank god it wasn't tripped.
