I recieved four Seperate offers from Chase/Visa MC, in the mail today.
I had to open them, I usually don't bother but I had to see this time.
Each offer was different Credit line varied from $3500-$25,0000 and APR varied 0-1.9-3.9-5.9.
So now I got fourty checks and $49,000 in credit line.
No wonder this country is running in the red.
The power of credit compels us!

I know the feeling. Got a card off from Mid American Motorworks (I think that is who it was - Corvette and Porsche aftermarket parts supplier) and they offered a credit line "up to $100,000". The wife and I got a good laugh out of that.

i bought something on ebay with the paypal buyer credit. i got a statement the other day. It was a small purchase 90 days same as cash or similar. anyway... in the finance charge summary if you dont pay it off it says deferrend interest/no payment corresponding APR 22.25%, then under that ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE 175.472%!

yes 175.472 wtf

I get no less a dozen credit card offer a week. They annoy the hell out of me,.. just more crap with my name and address I have to shread.

Here's the thing that's really annoying,.. Chase continues to send me those stupid mailers,.. even though I've had a Chase Visa for over 5 years!

That's what My wife said."we already have accounts, with Chase"
I usually just circle file all the CC offers,But I never got four on the same day, from the same bank.

I've always enjoyed placing other junk mail in the prepaid envelopes and putting them back in the mail. They get to pay both ways.:D

What ticks me off is on the occaisions that I bother to look at them, the fine print says "yeah, we will give you a low rate now but if you are late a couple times with your payment we will double the interest rate." I recently got a credit card from my credit union and will be closing the Providian and Discover cards. They can't compete with permanent FIXED RATE 7.99 interest, no punishment fees if I am late on a payment, no gouging fee for cash advances, no yearly fee and so on. I shoulda gotten one of these years ago. I am a dummy.

My wife recently made the credit union folks a big batch of Creamy Cheesy Lemon Bars. ;)

Elbonia? I've been there... stayed in the capital Ulna, a real swinging place, easy to get bent out of shape if you're not careful.

:P

(don't mind me, just trying to be humerus...)
