The new Chrysler SRT-8 300C's are running in the mid 12's out of the showroom. Do not mess with these unless you have a supercharger.

That is rediculous... I guess it makes me feel a little better that they are like 50k out the door... a little better

SHEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZ!
12.5s @ 111!!!! .....that is pretty sick for a STOCK 4 door brick.
I thought that I could 'MESS' with the SRT8 guys now that I have my forged engine BUT....:( ......
Now I am forced to install 4.10s, Nittos, AND 'BLOW IT'.:o

Excellent vehicle out of the box, my car with T-Kit cost less, gets better than 23 mpg highway.
Granted I have never been able to produce a 12.5 quarter, but temps in the mid-40's at a track don't exist in Florida either. So I believe that his times are not going to be the norm. My opinion is that the AVERAGE for this vehicle will be low 13's.
Still a very fast vehicle; the owner must be very proud.:)

Smokie,
I will ahve to agree with you about that gas mileage thing. I friend of mines rented a 5.7L Grand Cherokee abd it was averaging 11 miles to the gallon in the city. That sucks big time.

I like it! I don't think I'll own one. But as a complete package, I like it.
If you were to race investments, I (we are) am still the winner(s).
Besides, I am glad the Marauder doesnt look like a Bently clone.
Add a S/C, and these cars will be untouchable.

Very true ,
but i think there was a thread that had a 300C s/ced or turbo and they had a problem with the computer returning back to stock.Has that problem been fixed? are there any 300C's that are charged?

There is a vender on their site that has done a few paxton blowers. Also, Hennessey offers some serious upgrades for a price.

You said it, Slim... I'll be keeping an eye on how those guys 'age' especially driven all year round up here. My experience with my 1st MM has been an eye-opener. For me to consider a Chrysler in the future, I'm going to have to get dirty with as many as possible and see how they 'age' underneath and in hidden places. My second MM appears only marginally less rusty than my 1st one even with no winters on it (one winter on mine).
To be honest, the styling of the 300C isn't doing it for me no matter how many I see. However, the Charger seems appealing. As long as it's not stricken by the recent Mercedes-Benz quality demons, it'll remain a candidate for future purchase.
The SRT's and Lightnings are just bigger sharks than the Marauder in a sea of Tuna cars waiting to be gobbled up.
I don't think they are our competition on the street, too few 300's driven by, 40 or 50 something, women with cell phones stuck in their ears or mature men with big shinny wheels.
I see very few chargers and not all have big motors, still no predator minded drivers.
So the sky's not falling. The Z-28's and Trans-ams are the ones for me to tangle with.
Speaking of which, today at Lowe's, there were three Marauders in the parking lot (including mine) in a town of 60K. A ho-hum DTR and a trashed 03 Black MM that had been keyed with a 1/2" tool on every surface of the car. I could cry. Don't know who these people are. Bossier City, La.

That car is just plain fugly! (I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder) I will also say that if you think a Marauder has quality issues you should talk to a 300 owner who has had one for a while. My wifes is a POS!!! I can promise you that if you drive that car hard on a consistent basis it wont last long. My car currently has 30,000 miles on it and has only seen the dealer once (besides routine maintenance) for a leaky pinion seal. I have lost track how many times that 300 has been back, and it started the day after we got it home. I dont drive it hardly at all and my wife drives it very easy. I dont care how quick it is, it is still a CHRYSLER :mad2: :mad2: My 2 cents.

We are coming. You'll get your chance. Best time I've seen for a stock Charger R/T is 13.8, but that is almost like a factory freak. Most are around 14.2.
I almost bought a Marauder last year, but instead bought a used '00 Lincoln LS. Great driving car, but it was the worst, most unreliable car I ever owned. It was even worse than my wife's old '88 Le Baron. Don't be too critical of Chrysler reliability. I traded it on my new Charger.
You guys probably have it better than LS owners, though, because the Marauder uses tried-and-true technology and parts. When I was originally researching Marauders, though, I remember seeing some posts on here about people whose engines went bad on them pretty early on. Did that ever turn into a widespread problem?
So refresh my memory. The one time I saw a Marauder at the track it ran mid-15s I believe (this is Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, which is a slow track). What do most Marauders run, and what do they run with the most common mods? I'm curious as to what it would take for a Marauder to match the 14.2 I hope my Charger is good for.

Wow it doesn't take a lot to make you guys fast. Damn 4.10s. I wish Mopar Performance would offer us some gear choices. Someone ran a 15.1 stock, that's impressive.
On one hand I'm surprised the fastest Marauder on that page is only 11s, but on they other hand they are big, heavy cars. Is that the fastest Marauder known to the online community?
I forgot I input my best LS timeslip on that web page:

And they are small displacement engines (281 cubic inches).

No. The fastest "official" slip is Martyo at 11.0x. He was in the high 10s but there was either a problem with the slip or a red lighted run. There is more in his bad azz Marauder.
