View Full Version : Stars and Flags Key Code?
What does the stars and flags mean next to one's name? Is there a key code somewhere? I'm at a loss to find it.

The stars is a level indicator to show how many posts you've made. Flags mean you've donated to the site. I don't remember at what levels the stars/flags change. Mary???

Those with only one star next to their username are those that other members make fun of in the chat room.
Generally, it's there to set up a sort of hierarchy. Depending on the difference in the number of stars, the results may vary. For instance, a difference of 1 star will usually just result in the member with lower stars having to buy the other member a beverage at a gathering. There are several other steps in between, which touch on services such as car washing, personalized taxi service when the other member comes to visit, buying dinner at a fancy restaurant (5 star restaurant for members with 5 stars, 4 for those with 4 stars, etc.).
The worst scenario is a member with one star interacting with a member with 5 stars. At that point, bank account PIN numbers are involved.

And, yes, it is broken, to be ironed out by Logan. It should be one or the other.

Aha, thanks, now that brings up another question, how and to whom does one contribute? Is the contributions for site operation and maintenance? And is there an amount schedule?

I'll PM you my home address ...just send cash ...unmarked bills only, please. ;)
Actually Logan has a PayPal account where you can make donations/contributions; I think it's located on a tab in "Home". Also, if the supercharger/Kooks Raffle goes off, then you can use that as a way to contribute.

The donation webpage was set up for $25, $50 and $100 donations. Mike has a good suggestion to wait until we know if a raffle will take place.

I'd like a word with your accountant. There appears to be a discrepancy.
