First I wanna say the car was fine in the snow... HOWEVER a big ass truck came over in my lane out in the boonies on the way to see my brother, I got into the thick stuff, then came back onto the road... only to be met with a sheet of ice, I slid across at about 3mph and thought I was ok... got to the side and the front went down into those stupid ditches out in the country, got on the brakes and slip down it at a crawl... lucky for me (sarcasm) these stupid things always have those nice trees in em, so at the bottom my drivers side front fender got squeezed to crap and a tiny part of my door under the mirror and the mirror itself got damaged. It's not that much damage but I'm still really mad... and sad, the truck guy didn't even stop. I'm not gonna claim insurance, cuz it's pob the price of my deductable anyway. So if anyone knows of a shop that can get me back lookin like I should for a fair price let me know. If it's not one thing it's another...:( I am poor enough as it is after rebuilding my motor :(
Ouch, at least you aren't hurt. I'd find that fool in the truck...

Dayum, A.J., if it wasn't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all.
I'm sorry for your woes, but glad you're okay.
Ever consider that the car was originally black for a reason...

Wow, bigtime bummer... How long has it been back on the road? I was anxiously waiting to hear about some power numbers from your fresh engine and now it's already down again. I feel for you.

A.J.,
Sorry to here bout the 'Rauder. Glad to see you're OK. Don't know how far ya want to travel but Auto Craft Collision here in Canton did mine when my wife was in a fender bender. Came highly recommended by someone I work with and I'll recommend them to anyone.
Here's the number: 734-397-1270 ask for Barb Zeleji. Tell her DJ sent ya.

Thanks for the numer, that won't be too far if it's better than the places that are closer that's for sure.
Thanks for the replies, the damage all in all isn't THAT bad, but man just annoys the heck outta me. It's Ironic too that I never had damage to the cougar and is sucks in the snow compared to the marauder... I dunno what it is about the last few months but my luck as been TERRIBLE. She drives nicely though, and she still drove nice after getting out, her makeup is just a little messed up... I really hope this falls somewhere in the $500 range... here's to hope :o
I would be surprised to see your car repaired for $500.00. Considering the damage you reported, crushed front fender, destroyed mirror and door damage. I would take a deep breath.
Front fender replaced, paint
replace mirror, paint
door, repaired, bondo'd, paint (whole door)
labor
When you get your estimate let us know.

My hope is with the number of blacks that it will be like bikes and they will actually be able to get a fender already in black... *fingers crossed* the door is the biggest pain... I mean there is an INCH dent so HOPEFULLY a repaint can be avoided... I have the mirror, the plastic base is what got smoked... it's so minor, yet bad enough to be a complete pain in the ass... I tell you man sometimes :mad2: .
P.S. Still open to other shops... I'll try calling places tomorrow, see if anyone is open.
So on a related note I have 4 budnik rims for sale... all proceeds were supposed to go to the Nitto fund, but now they'll be going to the fix the girl's makeup fund. :shake:
