Players were grand but the best is the Schooner Ale Brewery in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Free brewery tour every afternoon...all you can walk out with in your big fat belly. Ah, those were the days, my friend. Drink free Schooner for a week, then drive the F8U Crusader home. Just as much fun as the Marauder in one tenth of the time. Dennis

Here's one:
Streetheart.

Hits:
"Hollywood"
"Action"
"Under My Thumb" remake
"Here comes the Night"

Cheesy vocals but awesome 70s "glitz" guitars and bassist Sinnaeve really knew how to get that groove going.

No one remembers Gino Vannelli?

How can you forget the classic, Black Cars?

Under the cover of night
She crawls into sight
Her skin is cold china white
She's a dark angel wearing dark glasses
Dark shadows under long false lashes
The night exposes the cracks
She wears her makeup like wax
To hide every scratch
'Cause she a dark angel riding dark horses
Sitting pretty in her dim lit covers ... I say
Black cars look better in the shade
She smears her lipstick on right before she sleeps
For all those phantom lovers in her dreams
She smokes them french cigarettes
In cocktail gloves and a strapless dress
She cuts a perfect silhouette
But she's a dark angel wearing dark glasses
A fading beauty as the night time passes ... I say
Black cars look better in the shade
Black cars look better in the shade

It gives me the ability to laugh about the aforementioned cheese, and mellows me out when life makes me an angry American.

Just a little Canuckelhead Trivia; Keifer Sutherland's father-in-law was Tommy Douglas. Tommy Douglas was responsible for starting our Health Care system.

Ah yes, One of the best slow dance songs ever "The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"!!

Bud, if there ever was foreshadowing in a relationship, it's slow dancing to a song where men die in a shipwreck and are never heard from again . . . ;)

Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" is sooo much better!

Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights" is sooo much better!

Hmmm, maybe. I can say that whenever I used to listen to a drunk Navy girl's mindless chatter this verse always played in my head:

"Does anyone knowwhere the love of God goes
When the Waves turn the minutes to hours?"

How about:
"So now I'm praying for the end of time,
to hurry up and arrive
'cause if I have to spend another minute with you
I don't think that I could hardly survive . . . "

C'mon now y'all...Yer beatin 'round the bush, eh?

Who Canidian, could fail to mention the Canadian who's so far gone, he's back again. So hot, he's not, and so not he's hot?

Someone so abnormal, he needs S.A.E. correction. So twisted, he's as straight and dead nutz on as CarFixer's alignment specs. So low down and down low, he's a pilar of the community, and so dark in his vision, he's really very uplifting and highly spiritual. How could we ignore this legend?

No...Not MartyO. He's not Canadian, take my word on this.

Ladies and Gentlemen, "everybody knows" (drum roll please) Mr. Leonard Cohen!.

Just one of many stupid songs...

Everybody knows the dice are loaded,
everybody rolls with their fingers crossed.
Everybody knows the war is over,
everybody knows the good guy lost.
Everybody knows fiight was fixed,
the poor stay poor, the rich stay rich.
That's how it goes...
Because everybody knows.

Everybody knows the boat is leaking,
everybody knows the Captain lied.
Everybody's got this sinking feeling,
like their father, or, their dog
is about to die.
Everybody knows the fix is in,
these poor stayed poor, these rich stayed rich.
But, that's how it goes...
when everybody knows.

Everybody knows you love me, baby,
everybody knows you really do.
Everybody knows you've been faithful to me
give, or, take, a night or two.
Everybody knows you've been discreet,
but there was just so many people you had to meet,
without your clothes,
so, everybody knows.

Everybody knows it's now or never,
everybody knows it's me, or, you,
Everybody knows that you live forever,
when you've done a line or two.
Everyone knows the deal is rotten,
Old Black Joe is still pickin' cotton for your ribbons and bows,
and everyone knows.

Brilliant, yes?
